The only American member of the Japan based super hero team Xen, Banzai believes the current ruler of Japan, Lord Sunfire, son of the original Sunfire, has no place amoung the Xen.
Banzai was amoung the Xen who safeguarded Creel's fists and tried to fight off the Tong of Creel without success.
He then travelled to Asgard with his teammates at the request of Lord Sunfire, upon returning he aided them in defeating the ghost of Fin Fang Foom.
