Professor Bolivar Trask is the man who designed and created the 20 foot mutant-hunting monsters, the Sentinels.

He was responsible, under the Presidents order, for sending the Sentinels to the Savage Land, killing dozens of innocent mutants.

He was next seen on the 'Today' show discussing his theory that mutants have cruelty hard-wired into their genes.
