I would have chosen the good doctor MacTaggart, but Jean was quasi-Moira in X1, so I'm expecting she'll reprise some of that characterisation in X2. And even if I really, really, really want Anna Paquin to get her own cajun thief, I opted for someone who would inject much-needed humour that I think was lacking from X1--Hank McCoy.

well it was a tough choice, but i went with Angel. one, great demon/angel contrast with Nightcrawler. 2 i just really want to see a guy with wings, that would just be cool to see on screen. 3 i just like the guy. but as i said it was a tough call... other top contenderss were Iceman, cept, well technically he was already in the first movie... would have voted Beast, but i recently heard from someone who has seen the concept art for Nightcrawler that he is indeed blue, not black like in Ultimate, so 2 blue guys may be a bit much... as much as i dearly love all the blue guys. the one i had the toughest time deciding between with Angel tho was Colossus, that would be something to see... seeing a guy turn to steel... and i always liked him.

I was torn between Beast, Dazzler and Psylocke.

I would love to see Beast, because the movie does need some humor, other than Wolverine giving Cyclops the middle finger/claw(?)

Psylocke would be great, especially if it was Tia Carrera. *rowr* Plus, it'd add some estrogen to the team, which wouldn't be terrible.

But I ended up voting Dazzler. I love Dazzler. And if she was played by Britney Spears, oh *swoon*. Britney + tight leather = GOLD. But seriously, I voted Dazzler, and I would want Britney to play her.

Sentinels would be nice, as would some of the other choices, but hey, thats why there's *many* sequels.

I voted for Angel only because I like him as a character when he's written right, and he was the only choice I remotely liked outa the choices. I would've voted for Dazzler, but I'm too afraid of Britney Spears getting the part lol.

I think one of the best additions to the cast would be Dr. Cecilia Reyes. She has a pretty low-budget power compared to some and much more character then the normal X-man. She would also give more contrast to the plot and make it have shades of grey so to speak as oposed to black vs. white.

Seeing as how the X-Men franchise basically took the whole Dazzler-series premise and now uses that as its marketing standpoint, I picked Ali. Dazzler was the human character who had problems with "outing" herself as a mutant and eventually did so.

Gotta agree with citizenx. I was happy when it looked like Nightcrawler was going to be the only new character, firstly, because he's my favourite X-Man, but even more so because that meant they weren't cramming in a whole heap of characters like the godawful Batman and Robin.

Then they added Pyro...and Lady Deathstrike....and Shadowcat (or is that Ariel?)...Colossus, Beast and Gambit have been added now too (sorta)...and now I'm getting worried...they've got mutants hanging off the rafters! Unless this movie turns out to be three hours long, contains lots of 'bit parts' (like Iceman's in the first) or something, there's not going to be any room for character development!

Liam Neeson or Colin Ferrell would've made for a slick Banshee, if Banshee was going to be a more critical character in the plot. Then again, Laim's making submarine movies and Colin's in that going-to-flop thing called Daredevil.

I'm all about the Sentinels. If they can be done correctly, they would go down as one of the most awesome sights ever beheld in cinema.

We already know Pete, Remy, and Hank are in the sequel as at least cameos (or do we?). A slew of the others will probably turn up somewhere in the mansion's invasion, or the big brawl at the Weapon-X facility.

Gambit was cut from X2 but his name shows up in the film I just seen the HBO making of the film this past weekend and it shows his name on a computer.
And i read yesterday that a stunt guy for Wolverine is Gambit in the film. But he won't play Gambit in the next film unless they shoot the film where this guy lives. I hope that clears up Gambit. But I vote for Gambit
