Sinister has recently surfaced attacking Havok and Cyclops, but the pair managed to escape Sinister's plans, destroying one of his labs. Unfortunately for the heroes Sinister had already got what he wanted out of them, and he and Jean Grey had escaped to another lab which housed the "X-Man", a mutant which he plans to use against his arch nemesis, Apocalypse. Sinister had recently joined forces with Professor X in an atempt for world domination. After his betrayal by Xavier Sinister turned against his former ally and has not been seen since.
The full extent of Sinister's powers are unknown. He possesses superhuman strength and near invunerability. His body seems to warp and re-shape itself if injured by a particle beam or projectile weapon. He can teleport to any destination in the world.
He can also project powerful concussive energy from his hands, and can impose mental blocks in people that prevent them from attacking him.
Sinister is possibly the foremost authority on genetic mutation and cloning in the world.
