Elektra's past before she became Scotty's nanny is unknown, although she does have some connection to the assassin known as Bullseye. She has saved Scotty's life many times, and worked with Havok to stop the Goblin Queen from getting her hands on him. During her time alone with Havok he and she have started to show thier feelings for each other.
Elektra along with Scotty recently visited Havok and The Six in New York City just before the Horsemen attacked. Elektra fought alongside the Six in the fight against Xavier, and then moved to the X-Men's moon base with Scotty and Raven.
Elektra pulled a grenade on herself in an attempt to kill Dracula, it failed and she lost her life.
Elektra is a consummate practitioner of the martial arts, especially ninjitsu.
She is a mistress of the skills of the ancient ninja warriors of Japan, and is an Olympic level athlete and gymnast. Her chosen weapon is the sai, a three pronged dagger.
