Scotty is the son of Alex and Madelyne, born during the X-Factor years. During the Inferno event he was kidnapped by the demons S'ym and N'astirh, his mother came to the rescue striking a deal with the demons to ensure the safety of Scotty and the planet. Scotty had been hiding at the X-Mansion from his mother, the Goblin Queen. He has been staying under the protection of his nanny Elektra and the cyborg Cerebro until he was stolen by the mindcontrolled Bloodstorm for the Goblin Queen. During his stay at the Goblin Queen's HQ his latent powers erupted. Scotty's new powers were the only thing capable of stopping the Goblin Force. Scotty managed to stop it, but apparently lost his mother in the process.
After the seeming death of his mother, the Shi'ar and the Skrulls have attempted to kill him, but his uncle Cyclops had returned in time to save his life. Elektra and Scotty recently visited Havok and the Six in New York, and were convinced by Xavier to stay at Bannerman castle. Xavier then tried to add Scotty's own powers to his already formidable powers, but was stopped by Havok and the Six. The six then left to fight Xavier leaving Scotty in supposedly safe hands, but he was captured by Xavier and Sinister who tried to use his abilities along with those of the two Summers clones to dominate the world, this did not happen due to Scotty helping Havok to defeat them. Scotty has now been relocated, along with Elektra and Raven, to the X-Men's hidden base on the moon.
Scotty was returned to Earth by the X-Men and was reunited with his mother at the loss of Alex.
Scott's mutant potential is as yet unknown but he is have strong psionic powers which allow him to see into the future in his dreams, telepathy and the ability to project concussive blasts.
