Logan was part of the Weapon-X Program developed during the Canadian/USA border conflicts. He was to be in the elite troops of Canada using the Super Soldier serum stolen from the United States. But the scientists at the project lost control of him and his fellow Weapon-X "patients". They escaped into the wilderness and the area was cornered off. The three ex Weapon-X savages were left in the Canadian wilderness, and formed the Pack.

They crossed paths with the Six when Havok brought them into Canadian airspace, they were shot down and then attacked by the Pack. The Pack were eventually defeated by the Six and Alpha Flight, and then taken into Canadian custody.

Logan managed to escape his captors and in the process sliced up Mac Hudson. He headed back into the wilderness with his intellect and memories slowly returning. Unknowingly he was heading home, where his wife and children lived. Logan was not alone in the wilderness though, the Canadians had sent out Creed to recapture him. After a battle wolverine caused a petrol station to explode. Believing Creed for dead he left the scene with The Six, who had just arrived. Unfortunately Creed was not dead and, deciding he would finish the job, went after Logan's family to use as bait.

When word got to Logan that Creed had his family, he Havok and Jean Grey headed back to Canada to rescue them. Logan managed to catch up with Creed, and decapitated him. Logan was then reunited with his family just as Hudson and the troupes moved in.

Logan and his family left the company of the Six when the Goblin Queen attacked.

Wolverine is a mutant with a number of enhancements to his physiology. Wolverine possesses heightened senses, making him capable of seeing things at a maximum distance greater than that of a normal human. His hearing is enhanced in a similar manner, and he is able to recognise people and objects by scent.

Logan can use these enhanced senses to track anyone, with an impressive degree of success. Wolverine possesses retractable bone claws laced in adamantium that are housed in his forearms. The skin between the knuckles tears and bleeds, but bleeding is quickly halted by his healing factor. The claws are naturally sharp and tougher than that of normal human bone structure.

And he was never named James Howlett too. So why put this in the name ? We don't know when Mutant X reality diverges from 616 one. Maybe it's early in 19th century.

It's a close to identical reality to 616, Alex Summers has the same name so does Jean Grey, why not Wolverine?

Because it's not clearly stated, because Origin LS wasn't even thinked of at the time Mutant X was realeased - so Mutant X writers did'nt think of Logan as James Howlett, and in this case on other bios they putted "presumed".

Only on the cover, same as Sabretooth.

It hasn't been used since.

In all his appearances everyone has called him Logan. Same for Sabretooth.

Well we don't know for sure, and that's why I've removed it from the bio. Speculation is fine in the posts following a bio, but not in the bio itself.

Okay, thanks for clarifying.

I don't think he was named Weapon-X either.

When he was brought in by Weapon-X, they did so with the intention of turning Logan, Creed and Gibney into Super Soldiers, they escaped before they ever got a chance to go on any missions.
