Larry Trask was the man behind the original incarnation of the Sentinels (giant machines created to hunt and kill mutants). Larry, turned himself into the Sentinel Prime but was taken over by when the Goblin Queen took control of his Sentinels to further her plans. When peace was made between humans and mutants Larry and the Sentinels moved to a hidden base in the Colorado Rockys called the Vault.
Larry Trask was the Sentinel Prime, and therefore had absolute control over all the giant mutant-hunting robotic Sentinels.
