<img src="http://x-mencomics.com/xfan/images/headshots/mutantx/brute.jpg" align=left alt="Brute"> Real Name: Henry "Hank" Philip McCoy
Former Aliases: Beast

Place Of Birth: Dunfee, Illinois
Marital Status: Single
Known Relatives: Norton McCoy (father), Edna McCoy (mother), Robert McCoy (uncle)
Group Affiliation: formerly The Six, X-Men, X-Factor, The Pack
Known Allies: Dr Henry McCoy, Fantastic Four, X-Men, Magneto, formerly S'ym
Major Enemies: The Goblin Queen, Sinister, Professor X, The Fallen
Height: 5'11"
Weight: 400 lbs
Eyes: Red
Hair: Black
Since birth, Hank has had unusually large hands and feet. This mutation led to McCoy being incrediblly agie. Which brought him to the attention of Professor Xavier, and he was invited to attend Xavier's original team of X-Men, adopting the codename "Beast".
Upon graduation, Hank began experimenting with his genetic structure. The results were disastrous. Instead of reversing his mutation, as was his intent, Hank caused himself to undergo a complete physical metamorphosis. Now Hank was a literal Beast...a green-skinned, amphibious monster. The most tragic aspect of the entire affair was that his once-superior intellect was virtually gone, and with it, all hope for reversing the transformation.
The Brute, as he was now called, was once again taken in by the X-Men, and took part in many of their adventures. But when Magneto was handed the reigns of the team, Havok took Hank with him to X-Factor in an effort to protect his friend from Magneto's influence...and in the hope of someday finding a cure for his condition.
During the inferno event, the Brute became involved with S'ym and N'astirh. Gullibly believing that they were like him, and could offer him help, Hank involved himself in their schemes, and before their plans for world domination could be put to an end, The Brute found his semi-human legs magically replaced with demonic cloven-hooves.
Recently The Brute has been involved in the Goblin Queen's plans for world domination. During a fight with the Green Goblin, and his clones in New York City, Hank was framed for the murders of the Man-Spider clone and Norman Osborn. The Brute plead guilty when his parents lives were threatened by The Fallen and The Goblin Queen. After a battle in the court Maddie somehow restored Hank's intelligence for a short period of time, Hank was later executed.
Hank was seemingly resurrected by the Goblin Queen and was under her power until a recent encounter with Scotty. He then joined Havok and The Six to help them fight the Goblin Queen.
Since the defeat of the Goblin Queen the Brute has rejoined the Six, helping Havok to fight the evil Professor X. In the battle with Xavier, the Brute intercepted a psionic blast which was meant for Havok, this blast had apparently given the Brute back his intelligence.
With his increased intellect returning Hank had rediscovered his laboratories which were no longer used by the Six. In an attempt to heal Ice-man from Loki's magic, Hank built a machine which had the ability to heal him, but the process was stopped by a jealous Havok who attacked the machine which exploded causing Hank to lose his intelligence.
The Brute is a virtual powerhouse and, despite his simple intellect is one of the most deadly members of the Six.
He retains all of the agility he possessed as the Beast, can breath under water for indefinite amounts of time, can run at high speeds and, by virtue of his claws and enhanced strength, can tear through almost anything.
