Not to be mistaken for the original hero from WW II but instead his mutant predecessor. This Captain America was created by the American government to be their latest Super Soldier in their war with Canada. He was the only surviving member of the new batch of Soldiers after thier creator and method was destroyed by the Canadians. Unfortunately this Cap already possessed a latent mutant ability, this ability was unleashed by the Super Soldier process.
His abilities were unmeasurable and whenever he used the he was unable of controlling them or himself. He became a member of the now deceased super hero team known as the Avengers. Captain America was one of the super heroes who survived the Goblin Queen attacks, and joined Forge in his hidden base.
Recently Captain America joined Havok in the fight for mutant rights by joining The Six. Also on recent mission with the Six Cap has been seen to have had past dealings with the government Agent Henry Peter Gyrich.
Cap's power started to take control of him when the Avengers attacked The Six, making him attack and taking down both of the super hero teams.
When Havok and Logan returned to the scene of the battle, they found Cap on the ground not knowing what had happened the heroes rushed to their fallen team mates sides. The Canadians attacked, Cap unable to control his abilities anymore, unleashed them on the Canadians. Once they were defeated, he turned on his team mates. Havok and Cap entered a battle to the death, giving out an enormous amount of power (enough to wake the Beyonder in the centre of the Earth). Cap was defeated by Alex.
But after the Six had left Cap's body was dragged into the ground by the Beyonder seeking knowledge of the world above. Cap's mind and body were ripped apart as the Beyonder removed everything he wanted from him.
Captain America is a mutant with immeasurable powers. His powers were released by the Super Soldier program which gave him enhanced strength, speed, and stamina. Among his many powers he is capable of firing bolts of energy, increasing his mass and strength, including a high level of Telepathy.
