When she was alive, Bloodstorm was a mutant with the ability to control the weather. In Africa, where she grew up a thief, she used these powers to aid local tribes...and they worshipped her as a goddess. When Professor Xavier approached her and invited her to join his second Team of X-Men, she agreed, and returned with him to the United States.
Adopting the codename "Storm", she became a mother figure to the teenage Shadowcat. An encounter with Dracula changed all of that when his bite changed Storm into a vampire. This is when she met her lover Forge who had also been taken captive by Dracula.
Soon after Bloodstorm left the X-Men. During this time of self exile she became friendly with the thief known as Gambit. On one mission the two thieves were brought into conflict with the Horsemen of Apocalypse, the resulting conflict forced Bloodstorm to bite Gambit, turning him into a vampire. Bloodstorm did eventually return to her mutant friends. Choosing to join Havok’s team. Bloodstorm was the final member to join the roster of The Six.
During Maddie's recent personality change, Bloodstorm was defeated at her castle and put under the Goblin Queen's powers. Since the defeat of the Goblin Queen Bloodstorm has returned to The Six.
Bloodstorm and Gambit were being held captive by the Outcasts, until she challanged Cloak and Dagger for the leadership of the Outcasts. Bloodstorm won the fight and she and Gambit managed escape.
She and Gambit were then both given a Serum by the holographic Hank MacCoy, which cured them of their blood lust and allowed them to walk in the daylight again.
One of the surviving heroes Bloodstorm steaked her creator Dracula.
Ororo can generate or disperse all forms of weather. Her body automatically adjusts itself to the surrounding temperature and she can use herself as a lightning rod to channel lightning through her body. She can also transform her body into mist, summon and control vermin, and has also, on occasion, used a 'hypnotic stare' to hold humans in her thrall.
