"The new Bullpen Bits strips are much more rigidly scheduled now to appear in print monthly," Giarrusso told X-Fan on Monday. "The only thing that might screw that up is the tendancy for the 'Bullpen Bulletins' to sometimes not appear at all on a given week, since it is cut from comics with extra story pages."

The first new "Bit", which is numbered #60 in the series and features the X-Men, premiered in Marvel titles that shipped last week as well as debuting online at the Marvel.com (http://www.marvel.com/comics/bullpenbits/index.htm) Web site.

You know what would be cool? Just imagine a Bullpen Bits ongoing series. Marvel could aim it towards children, because the content would more than likely appeal to them. It would do well among ages 6-12... at least I seem to think so. Bullpen Bits has been around for a while now appearing in various different comic books.

Don't you think it is time for them to get their own ongoing?

That's excellent!

Maybe we should get more 'mini-avatars' to celebrate?

I'd love to see a Bullpen Bits ongoing. That's one of the best parts of Marvel Comics! They're so funny!

I aggree. Whenever there is something going on in comic books today that really ****es me off, they always manage to make me laugh. It would truly be great if there was a Bullpen Bits ongoing. Hey! I just got an idea!

What if we started a petition? If we got enough people to sign, then maybe it could happen.

Anyone else think that the return of Bullpen bits might have something to do with the announcement that Chiss would be doing a very similar stirp in Savage Dragon for a few issues. Marvel coulda realized the bits are too good to let go of, so they gave him is strip back. Hey, i'm not complainin.

I could barely understand you because of all the spelling errors, but I think I get the point. I didn't here anything about Savage Dragon doing a similar strip for a few issues, though it does seem interesting. I doubt that is the reason why Marvel decided to bring Bullpen Bits back, though.

hehe, sorry about that.... but honestly, the spelling wasn't that bad was it? But missing the "h" is his, is a little embarrassing.

Anyway, from the site that may not be mentioned, on Jan 5th, 2002:

"Erik Larsen has announced that cartoonist Chris Giarrusso will be doing an all-new comic strip in
the back of Savage Dragon beginning with issue #93. "

and

"... Comic Bits strip will be very much in the same vein, but instead of solely poking fun at Marvel characters, Giarrusso will be satirizing the whole world of comics. "

S.D. #93 should come out some time this month, if it isn't already out.

No, the spelling wasn't that bad. I was just saying that. Don't worry about it - it happens to me all the time. As for the Savage Dragon comic strip, I just have one thing to say - can't Erik Larsen be more original?
