Ten years ago Piotr Rasputin lived on a farm in Siberia. All young Piotr dreamed off was to become a superhero. One day when Piotr was milking the cows, the Mobster showed up. The Mobster's henchmen shot at Piotr but the bullets bounced off of Piotr's metal armor. Now that the Mobster saw with his own eyes that Piotr was a mutant, he offered him a job. Before the Mobster left, he reassured Piotr that he would keep his secret.
During a game of baseball, Scott wants to know from Jean where she went to after their ordeal with Apocalypse, but all Jean wants to do is play. While Logan hits on the new resident, Firestar, Kurt apologizes to Peter for the way he reacted when he found out that Peter was gay.
Suddenly Bobby enters the field in his mutant form begging for help. A moment later Iceman falls to pieces. When Alpha Flight appears, Wolverine immediately recognizes them and informs the X-Men that they are rip-off Ultimates. Wolverine once betrayed Alpha Flight and is now convinced that they want revenge. When Wolverine calls Vindicator Mac, the latter does not know what Wolverine is talking about. Wolverine attacks Vindicator, but Vindicator uses an energy beam to blow Wolverine as far as Maine.
A moment later the X-Men fight Alpha Flight. During the battle Sasquatch reveals that she knows Rogue, but Rogue has no idea. When Vindicator and Northstar's sister Aurora remind Northstar that he is property of the Canadian Government, Colossus places himself in front of Northstar so that he can protect his boyfriend. Because Aurora is so fast, she can easily grab her brother before Colossus can react. Now that Alpha Flight has their former teammate back again, Vindicator calls his troops back. Although Alpha Flight reaches their aircraft, they are unable to lift off because Colossus has a hold of it. When Aurora steals the light around Colossus, Colossus is distracted by it and accidentially lets go of the aircraft.
Later the injured Rogue and Bobby were brought to the infirmary. Hank was able to put Iceman back together. When he wants to contact Charles, who went to Muir Island, Jean stops him because she does not want to disturb Charles while he is recuperating. Meanwhile Peter is getting impatient and wants to go after Alpha Flight. Scott tells Peter that they need more information first, seeing how easily Alpha Flight beat the X-Men.
At that point Logan enters the room and informs them that he cut a capsule off of Vindicator's suit. Inside the capsule is the drug Banshee. When Jean admits that she has never heard of it, Allison explains that the drug gives ordinary humans temporary powers. Hank states that it gives mutants secondary and tertiary mutations and that they become gods.
When Peter leaves the room, Jean senses that something is wrong with him and that it does not only have to do with Jean-Paul. Jean tells Scott about it and informs him that she wants to read Peter's mind. Scott reminds her how the X-Men felt when they found out that Charles had manipulated them. Still Jean wants to go through with it because she wants to know why Peter is hurting.
Jean sees Peter's memory of the day that Peter's father caught Peter with another man in his bed. After the incident Peter left the farm and went to the Mobster about the job. Although the Mobster knew that Peter was bulletproof, he was of no use to the Mobster because when Peter was in his armor, he could barely move because of the heavy metal. The Mobster did however have a solution for Peter. That was the day that Peter used Banshee for the first time and got his super-strength. Jean finds out that Peter continued to inject himself with Banshee when he became an X-Man.
Although Jean thought that Peter would not notice, Peter senses that she is in his mind. Peter gets really upset and goes after Jean. When Peter tells her that she had no right to enter his head, Jean reveals Peter's addiction to the other X-Men. When Peter explains that he needs Banshee to get super-strong, Jean tries to make him realise that he is killing himself. Problem is that the other X-Men know that some of the Ultimates use power-enhancing drugs as well. Nightcrawler choses Peter's side because he knows that not everybody has Jean's and Logan's powers and are thus more vulnerable. Peter even suggests that they should all take Banshee because villains will also do anything to get what they want. When Jean hears Peter's argument, she loses it and tells everyone that drugs will not be tolerated at the Institute and that those that are caught, will be expelled.
After Jean calms down, she offers Peter her help. Peter wants to know if she will manipulate his mind again if he says no. Before she can answer, Peter informs her that he is going after Northstar and that she can consider him expelled.
After Peter packs his things, he goes to the hangar. Suddenly Scott shows up and tells Peter that he wants to help him. When Peter doubts Scott's true intentions, Scott explains that Jean scares him. He wonders what will happen if she would turn against them. Scott knows that the X-Men would not be able to stop her. Because of that possibility, Scott has realised that they need each other and that Peter does not have to do this alone. Surprisingly Peter is not alone because Dazzler, Angel, Rogue and Nightcrawler have already joined him and have taken Banshee.

Six years ago Scott Summers dreamed of being a hero. One day at the Gaspar de Portola Junior High School Scott got into a fight, but instead of fighting back, Scott got scared and wet his pants.
Once home Scott ran to his room. Scott's foster parents saw that he was crying, so Janelle told her husband to go talk to Scott. Because Scott was not his son, Noah did not know what to say. Still Noah undertook an attempt, but Scott told him to go away. Noah decided to enter Scott's room any way. Just as an angry Scott looked at Noah, his mutant powers manisfested themselves and killed Noah.
Back to the present, Peter and his team have travelled to Siberia. Peter explains that they are there to get some more Banshee. When Peter's suppliers arrive, Scott wants to come along but Peter informs him that they will only talk to him.
Before Peter can get close enough to see the faces of the suppliers, they tell him that he needs to wear a blindfold. After the exchange, one of the suppliers tells Peter that he is selfish, but Peter replies that he would do anything to get Jean-Paul back.
Although Scott does not feel at ease being part of a drug deal, Rogue is okay with it because she finally can control her powers and is able to kiss someone. When Peter returns, he gives a vile of Banshee to Scott, who pretends to inject himself with it.
Meanwhile Jean and Charles, who is still on Muir Island, are checking the team on Banshee. When Scott is telepathically linked with them, he informs them that Peter and the rest have no clue that Scott is a spy. Scott tells them that Peter does not know who his suppliers are. During the exchange, Scott saw that the suppliers were using a teleporter to get there. Charles promises to check out which teleporter recently used his powers but for Jean that is not enough. She really sees Banshee as a threat to all mutants. To her getting rid off the Banshee is top priority. During their conversation Jean is surprised when she gets a positive result on the Banshee test for Logan.
When Jean tells Logan about the result, he lashes out on all the robots of the Danger Room. Because Logan is convinced that he has never used Banshee before, he wants Jean to test him again and again. Unfortunately for him, Jean performed the tests several times and came up with the same result each time. However, Jean believes Logan when he states that he has never taken Banshee, but she also knows that he can not remember everything about his past. Jean reassures him that she is not going to send him away and asks him to help her find out who messed with him.
At Department H in Canada, Jubilee wonders if they are doing the right thing when she hears Northstar screaming. Vindicator reminds her that they are an internationally sanctioned mutant team, whose goal is to save the entire world. Jubilee utters her concern about what Banshee is doing to them because Sunfire and Sasquatch have not powered down for weeks. To please Jubilee, Rahne Sinclair a.k.a. Sasquatch reverts back to her human form. When Jubilee tries to convince Vindicator to take off his mask, the latter breaks Jubilee's fingers.
Shaman interrupts his teammates as he senses something. Suddenly Colossus' team punches their way in. While Colossus breaks down Shaman's protection shields, Dazzler grabs hold of Aurora's arm by creating a wolf out of light. Angel flies Snowbird to the stratosphere. When Nightcrawler uses his enhanced powers on Sasquatch, they hurt her instead of teleporting her out of there. Startled by what his powers did, Nightcrawler is off-guard, which gives Vindicator the opportunity to hit him with an energy beam. Luckily Rogue comes to Nightcrawler's aid. When Rogue absorbs Vindicator's powers, she is shocked to find out who he is. Now that she knows his secret, he is determined to kill her.
Although the X-Men are winning, the balance in power shifts when Sunfire tells Colossus where he can find Northstar. After Colossus leaves, the X-Men start to get in trouble, Cyclops decides to use Banshee.
Because the injection is accompanied with a great deal of pain, it triggers one of Scott's memories. Scott relives the day that Charles Xavier and Jean Grey came to him. When Jean walked into the Whaleys' house, she had to almost puke when she saw the bloodstains on the wall. Although Charles assured Scott that everything was going to be fine, Scott was absolutely not convinced. Jean was able to calm him down and convinced him to open his eyes, after he put on the special glasses. When Scott asked them how long he would have to wear them, they told him that it would be until the day that he could control his powers.
Now with the Banshee, Cyclops can finally destroy his special visor. While he helps his teammates, he feels how powerful he has become and loves it. Meanwhile Colossus has found Northstar. After Northstar got an overdosis of Banshee, he started to get cold. Now he can not stop shaking. His shaking starts to resemble an earthquake. By the time that Cyclops finds the two lovers, Northstar is already dead.

After Marvel Girl saved the world by defeating Apocalypse, she was still not satisfied. During the months that followed, she crossed the galaxy in search of something. On her journey, numerous alien races saw her pass their worlds. One week ago a Silver Surfer stopped the young Phoenix and told her that the Watchers disapproved of her actions. Her presence in the universe caused a lot of havoc because some worlds started wars while others committed suicide in her name. Still Phoenix refused to go home because she still had not found Heaven.
Now during a session in the Danger Room, Phoenix is hard on her teammates because she wants them to push themselves further. She sees the unlimited potential within them. Firestar critisizes Phoenix and she does not care if Phoenix can hear her or not. Although Iceman defends Phoenix, she reprimands him for his idiotic behavior. She fears that one day it might get someone killed. Iceman is unimpressed with her speech because he knows that she can bring anyone back to life.
Suddenly Phoenix receives a telepathic cry for help from Nightcrawler. Nightcrawler asks her to help them. Because they have their precious Banshee, Phoenix does not understand why they would need her help to defeat the Acolytes. Nightcrawler clarifies that he wants her to save them from themselves. Nightcrawler informs her that their addiction to Banshee is already out of control and that he is scared. When Cyclops sees Phoenix, he tells her that he can a lot of things now, including seeing her astral form. Phoenix begs him to stop. Cyclops gives his answer by hitting her astral form with an optic blast. Not only does Cyclops hit her astral form, her physical body in the Danger Room is also hit.
Meanwhile somewhere in the Bronx, Spider-Man and Shadowcat are battling Screamers. Because Shadowcat does not know what a Screamer is, Spider-Man tells her that they are Banshee-addicts. After they defeat most of them, they are left with one more, whose eyes are like those of a madman. Before the Screamer can do anything, Wolverine shows up and stabs the man. For his help, Wolverine wants something in return.
The three superheroes go to Peter Parker's place, where Peter examines Logan's blood for Banshee. While Peter studies it, he wants to know why Logan did not go with this to Reed Richards or Bruce Banner. Logan knows that they would turn him over to S.H.I.E.L.D. and besides Logan is convinced that Peter is a genius as well.
While Peter does his research, Kitty talks to Logan about the letter he wrote to her, in which he told her how much he cared for her. Logan is taken by surprise when Kitty suddenly hugs him.
Meanwhile Peter has figured out why Logan's test on Banshee came out positive. According to Peter the root drug of Banshee is made out of Logan's D.N.A.. At that point Jean and the other X-Men are there to pick him. When Kitty asks Logan to let her come along, he refuses because he does not want her to see what he will do, when he finds the person responsible.
Meanwhile in Siberia, Scott tells Peter that he is pushing the rest of their team too hard. Peter is convinced that they can handle it. Because Scott knows that the other X-Men are coming, Scott wants to buy some more Banshee from Peter's supplier, because the batch that they took from the Acolytes is not pure. Unfortunately for them, Peter has no more money. When Scott informs Peter that Kurt contacted Jean, Peter is not worried because he is convinced that she and the other X-Men can not handle them. Scott warns Peter that Jean is determined to shut down all Banshee production. Scott confesses that he knows this because he was there to stop him. When Peter grabs Scott by the face, Scott tells him that he is on their side now, after he saw all the good they accomplished. Because Scott does not want another death, he wants them to be at their best. Peter blames himself for Jean-Paul death.
Suddenly Peter falls over. When Iceman shows his head, it becomes clear that he iced up Peter. A moment later the rest of Phoenix' team show up and attack. While Cyclops presses Phoenix' head against the ground, she tells everybody to stop.
A moment later Jean finds herself in an other world. She is surprised when she sees her dead father there. He explains to her that he heard that she had been looking for him in Heaven. Jean tells him that she has the power to bring him back to life. Her father knows however that she does not really want to do that.
He realises that he was not a good father to her, although she did everything she could to please him. Even when he was dying, Jean still hoped that he might change if she did her best. After her father's death, Jean found what she was looking for when Charles took her under his wings.
Even though she states again that she will save her father, he knows that she can not and that it is okay. Before she returns to Earth, her father warns her that the X-Men and Scott are going to suffer if she keeps on trying too hard.
After Phoenix' return, Wolverine attacks Colossus. Wolverine blames him for all the hurt Banshee has caused them. With his adamantium claws, Wolverine starts to cut in Colossus' armor with the intention to kill Colossus. After a few moments Wolverine has cut out Colossus' heart.

Fifteen years ago, Erik Lensherr thought that Charles Xavier was insane because Charles had decided to take on a velociraptor, one of the deadliest creatures in the Savage Land. After Charles drew his claws, he attacked the dinosaur. The velociraptor injured Charles, but Charles killed the beast with a single stab of his claws. Before the battle was over, Charles' healing factor had already dealt with Charles' wound.
Erik was astonished by the result of the drug Charles had used. Because of the secondary mutations that the drug caused, mutants could be almost invinsible. Charles agreed that the drug had amplified Charles' powers and created totally new mutations, but Charles also knew how addictive it was. Because of Charles' own powers, he could withstand the addictive nature of the drug, but others would not be able to resist it. Erik and Charles decided to destroy the drug. Because they made it out of James Howlett's D.N.A., Charles had to erase James' mind.
In Siberia Wolverine has just cut out Colossus' heart. Still Colossus is alive, although he does not know or care how. Enraged by Wolverine's act, Colossus is determined to kill Wolverine. At the same time, the two teams of X-Men start to fight each other again. Because Storm and Beast are holding back, Dazzler and Cyclops deal out the first successful blows. Cyclops understands that they are sentimental and weak. Rogue is attacked by Iceman. Thanks to Banshee, Rogue has to be only near him to take over his powers. Without knowing why Rogue kisses Iceman, Firestar separates them by placing a tunnel of fire between the two. Meanwhile Nightcrawler begs Phoenix to regain consciousness. He is scared that they are all going to kill each other. Elsewhere on the battle field, the fight between Colossus and Wolverine comes to a climax when Colossus rips out one of Wolverine's legs.
Suddenly a paralyzed Northstar tells Colossus to stop. While Northstar and Phoenix come closer, Northstar explains that he is paralyzed because of Banshee. Northstar hopes that Colossus will not let the drug ruin his life as well. When Northstar tells Colossus that Colossus saved his life and is therefore a hero, Colossus falls on his knees and tells them that he is sorry. With Colossus' heart in her hand, Phoenix promises that everything is going to be fine. When everybody heads home, Cyclops is the only one who is not ready to go.
Back at the school both Logan and Peter are brought to the infirmary. Although Jean can successfully put Peter's heart back into place, she does not know if he will ever be able to revert back to his human form. Peter would consider it a fitting punishment for what he did.
After Jean leaves the men so that they can rest, Logan tells Peter that he had him just where he wanted him during the fight. Peter does not understand how Logan could have done much with only one leg, but Logan informs him that he still hurt the Hulk, even after the Hulk torn him in two. The two men more or less apologize for the things that they had done. Because Banshee was made out of his D.N.A., Logan feels used. He wants to shut down the whole Banshee operation and asks Peter for help. Unfortunately Peter has never seen his supplier.
Some time later Jean finds Scott on the moon. She knows how powerful Scott must feel when he can behold the stars and Earth from up there, but she informs him that he is not so powerful. She tells him that it is time for him to come home. Scott still refuses to go with her so Jean uses her Phoenix-powers on him. Although Jean has a firm grip and keeps it, Scott still fights her. Scott is convinced that Jean is jealous of him because he might be even more powerful than she is. Bit by bit Scott feels how he is losing control over his powers again. In the end he begs her to let him go. Jean knows that Scott is not himself. While she puts his quartz glasses back on, she tells him that he is not only the leader of the X-Men but also their spirit. Because of his actions, he has earned his teammates' respect, which is something that he will never get from a drug. While Scott tells her that he can not stop because of the power that he feels within, Jean holds him in her arms and comforts him.
Meanwhile Logan arrives at the Moira MacTaggert's Research Center and Hospital, where she takes care of sick mutant children. The moment that Logan sees Charles, he jumps at him with his claws drawn. Somehow Logan has discovered that Charles made the drug out of his D.N.A. and now Logan is going to kill him for it. Charles admits that he created Banshee, but also reassures Logan that he shut down the program fifteen years ago. Surprised by Charles' explanation, Logan wonders who is the Banshee supplier because Peter told him that he got his supply from Muir Island.
After Moira informs them that she is the supplier, she explains that she did it to fund her facility. Because she cares so much for the ill children, she is determined to stop Logan from shutting down her life's work. After Moira hits the two men full-on with a sonic scream, Logan asks Charles to get everybody out of there. Charles tells a young mutant girl to teleport them all out of there.
Meanwhile Logan has found the place where Moira keeps the Banshee. When Logan sees the amount of Banshee, he realises that it is enough to make an army. Moira explains that she wants to make the world safer for mutants. Because Logan knows that the Bashee contains two highly explosive gasses, namely butane and ethylene, hedoes not understand how she is going to make the world a safer place. After he breaks one of the Banshee containers, he ignites the stuff by creating a spark with his claws. The explosion that follows, destroys a big part of Moira's facility.
Moira somehow survives the explosion and receives a visit from Quicksilver. Although he is disappointed, he does not blame her. He informs her that his father has already come up with a new plan to deal with the humans.

Ten years ago Piotr Rasputin lived on a farm in Siberia. All young Piotr dreamed off was to become a superhero. One day when Piotr was milking the cows, the Mobster showed up. The Mobster's henchmen shot at Piotr but the bullets bounced off of Piotr's metal armor. Now that the Mobster saw with his own eyes that Piotr was a mutant, he offered him a job. Before the Mobster left, he reassured Piotr that he would keep his secret.
During a game of baseball, Scott wants to know from Jean where she went to after their ordeal with Apocalypse, but all Jean wants to do is play. While Logan hits on the new resident, Firestar, Kurt apologizes to Peter for the way he reacted when he found out that Peter was gay.
Suddenly Bobby enters the field in his mutant form begging for help. A moment later Iceman falls to pieces. When Alpha Flight appears, Wolverine immediately recognizes them and informs the X-Men that they are rip-off Ultimates. Wolverine once betrayed Alpha Flight and is now convinced that they want revenge. When Wolverine calls Vindicator Mac, the latter does not know what Wolverine is talking about. Wolverine attacks Vindicator, but Vindicator uses an energy beam to blow Wolverine as far as Maine.
A moment later the X-Men fight Alpha Flight. During the battle Sasquatch reveals that she knows Rogue, but Rogue has no idea. When Vindicator and Northstar's sister Aurora remind Northstar that he is property of the Canadian Government, Colossus places himself in front of Northstar so that he can protect his boyfriend. Because Aurora is so fast, she can easily grab her brother before Colossus can react. Now that Alpha Flight has their former teammate back again, Vindicator calls his troops back. Although Alpha Flight reaches their aircraft, they are unable to lift off because Colossus has a hold of it. When Aurora steals the light around Colossus, Colossus is distracted by it and accidentially lets go of the aircraft.
Later the injured Rogue and Bobby were brought to the infirmary. Hank was able to put Iceman back together. When he wants to contact Charles, who went to Muir Island, Jean stops him because she does not want to disturb Charles while he is recuperating. Meanwhile Peter is getting impatient and wants to go after Alpha Flight. Scott tells Peter that they need more information first, seeing how easily Alpha Flight beat the X-Men.
At that point Logan enters the room and informs them that he cut a capsule off of Vindicator's suit. Inside the capsule is the drug Banshee. When Jean admits that she has never heard of it, Allison explains that the drug gives ordinary humans temporary powers. Hank states that it gives mutants secondary and tertiary mutations and that they become gods.
When Peter leaves the room, Jean senses that something is wrong with him and that it does not only have to do with Jean-Paul. Jean tells Scott about it and informs him that she wants to read Peter's mind. Scott reminds her how the X-Men felt when they found out that Charles had manipulated them. Still Jean wants to go through with it because she wants to know why Peter is hurting.
Jean sees Peter's memory of the day that Peter's father caught Peter with another man in his bed. After the incident Peter left the farm and went to the Mobster about the job. Although the Mobster knew that Peter was bulletproof, he was of no use to the Mobster because when Peter was in his armor, he could barely move because of the heavy metal. The Mobster did however have a solution for Peter. That was the day that Peter used Banshee for the first time and got his super-strength. Jean finds out that Peter continued to inject himself with Banshee when he became an X-Man.
Although Jean thought that Peter would not notice, Peter senses that she is in his mind. Peter gets really upset and goes after Jean. When Peter tells her that she had no right to enter his head, Jean reveals Peter's addiction to the other X-Men. When Peter explains that he needs Banshee to get super-strong, Jean tries to make him realise that he is killing himself. Problem is that the other X-Men know that some of the Ultimates use power-enhancing drugs as well. Nightcrawler choses Peter's side because he knows that not everybody has Jean's and Logan's powers and are thus more vulnerable. Peter even suggests that they should all take Banshee because villains will also do anything to get what they want. When Jean hears Peter's argument, she loses it and tells everyone that drugs will not be tolerated at the Institute and that those that are caught, will be expelled.
After Jean calms down, she offers Peter her help. Peter wants to know if she will manipulate his mind again if he says no. Before she can answer, Peter informs her that he is going after Northstar and that she can consider him expelled.
After Peter packs his things, he goes to the hangar. Suddenly Scott shows up and tells Peter that he wants to help him. When Peter doubts Scott's true intentions, Scott explains that Jean scares him. He wonders what will happen if she would turn against them. Scott knows that the X-Men would not be able to stop her. Because of that possibility, Scott has realised that they need each other and that Peter does not have to do this alone. Surprisingly Peter is not alone because Dazzler, Angel, Rogue and Nightcrawler have already joined him and have taken Banshee.

Six years ago Scott Summers dreamed of being a hero. One day at the Gaspar de Portola Junior High School Scott got into a fight, but instead of fighting back, Scott got scared and wet his pants.
Once home Scott ran to his room. Scott's foster parents saw that he was crying, so Janelle told her husband to go talk to Scott. Because Scott was not his son, Noah did not know what to say. Still Noah undertook an attempt, but Scott told him to go away. Noah decided to enter Scott's room any way. Just as an angry Scott looked at Noah, his mutant powers manisfested themselves and killed Noah.
Back to the present, Peter and his team have travelled to Siberia. Peter explains that they are there to get some more Banshee. When Peter's suppliers arrive, Scott wants to come along but Peter informs him that they will only talk to him.
Before Peter can get close enough to see the faces of the suppliers, they tell him that he needs to wear a blindfold. After the exchange, one of the suppliers tells Peter that he is selfish, but Peter replies that he would do anything to get Jean-Paul back.
Although Scott does not feel at ease being part of a drug deal, Rogue is okay with it because she finally can control her powers and is able to kiss someone. When Peter returns, he gives a vile of Banshee to Scott, who pretends to inject himself with it.
Meanwhile Jean and Charles, who is still on Muir Island, are checking the team on Banshee. When Scott is telepathically linked with them, he informs them that Peter and the rest have no clue that Scott is a spy. Scott tells them that Peter does not know who his suppliers are. During the exchange, Scott saw that the suppliers were using a teleporter to get there. Charles promises to check out which teleporter recently used his powers but for Jean that is not enough. She really sees Banshee as a threat to all mutants. To her getting rid off the Banshee is top priority. During their conversation Jean is surprised when she gets a positive result on the Banshee test for Logan.
When Jean tells Logan about the result, he lashes out on all the robots of the Danger Room. Because Logan is convinced that he has never used Banshee before, he wants Jean to test him again and again. Unfortunately for him, Jean performed the tests several times and came up with the same result each time. However, Jean believes Logan when he states that he has never taken Banshee, but she also knows that he can not remember everything about his past. Jean reassures him that she is not going to send him away and asks him to help her find out who messed with him.
At Department H in Canada, Jubilee wonders if they are doing the right thing when she hears Northstar screaming. Vindicator reminds her that they are an internationally sanctioned mutant team, whose goal is to save the entire world. Jubilee utters her concern about what Banshee is doing to them because Sunfire and Sasquatch have not powered down for weeks. To please Jubilee, Rahne Sinclair a.k.a. Sasquatch reverts back to her human form. When Jubilee tries to convince Vindicator to take off his mask, the latter breaks Jubilee's fingers.
Shaman interrupts his teammates as he senses something. Suddenly Colossus' team punches their way in. While Colossus breaks down Shaman's protection shields, Dazzler grabs hold of Aurora's arm by creating a wolf out of light. Angel flies Snowbird to the stratosphere. When Nightcrawler uses his enhanced powers on Sasquatch, they hurt her instead of teleporting her out of there. Startled by what his powers did, Nightcrawler is off-guard, which gives Vindicator the opportunity to hit him with an energy beam. Luckily Rogue comes to Nightcrawler's aid. When Rogue absorbs Vindicator's powers, she is shocked to find out who he is. Now that she knows his secret, he is determined to kill her.
Although the X-Men are winning, the balance in power shifts when Sunfire tells Colossus where he can find Northstar. After Colossus leaves, the X-Men start to get in trouble, Cyclops decides to use Banshee.
Because the injection is accompanied with a great deal of pain, it triggers one of Scott's memories. Scott relives the day that Charles Xavier and Jean Grey came to him. When Jean walked into the Whaleys' house, she had to almost puke when she saw the bloodstains on the wall. Although Charles assured Scott that everything was going to be fine, Scott was absolutely not convinced. Jean was able to calm him down and convinced him to open his eyes, after he put on the special glasses. When Scott asked them how long he would have to wear them, they told him that it would be until the day that he could control his powers.
Now with the Banshee, Cyclops can finally destroy his special visor. While he helps his teammates, he feels how powerful he has become and loves it. Meanwhile Colossus has found Northstar. After Northstar got an overdosis of Banshee, he started to get cold. Now he can not stop shaking. His shaking starts to resemble an earthquake. By the time that Cyclops finds the two lovers, Northstar is already dead.

After Marvel Girl saved the world by defeating Apocalypse, she was still not satisfied. During the months that followed, she crossed the galaxy in search of something. On her journey, numerous alien races saw her pass their worlds. One week ago a Silver Surfer stopped the young Phoenix and told her that the Watchers disapproved of her actions. Her presence in the universe caused a lot of havoc because some worlds started wars while others committed suicide in her name. Still Phoenix refused to go home because she still had not found Heaven.
Now during a session in the Danger Room, Phoenix is hard on her teammates because she wants them to push themselves further. She sees the unlimited potential within them. Firestar critisizes Phoenix and she does not care if Phoenix can hear her or not. Although Iceman defends Phoenix, she reprimands him for his idiotic behavior. She fears that one day it might get someone killed. Iceman is unimpressed with her speech because he knows that she can bring anyone back to life.
Suddenly Phoenix receives a telepathic cry for help from Nightcrawler. Nightcrawler asks her to help them. Because they have their precious Banshee, Phoenix does not understand why they would need her help to defeat the Acolytes. Nightcrawler clarifies that he wants her to save them from themselves. Nightcrawler informs her that their addiction to Banshee is already out of control and that he is scared. When Cyclops sees Phoenix, he tells her that he can a lot of things now, including seeing her astral form. Phoenix begs him to stop. Cyclops gives his answer by hitting her astral form with an optic blast. Not only does Cyclops hit her astral form, her physical body in the Danger Room is also hit.
Meanwhile somewhere in the Bronx, Spider-Man and Shadowcat are battling Screamers. Because Shadowcat does not know what a Screamer is, Spider-Man tells her that they are Banshee-addicts. After they defeat most of them, they are left with one more, whose eyes are like those of a madman. Before the Screamer can do anything, Wolverine shows up and stabs the man. For his help, Wolverine wants something in return.
The three superheroes go to Peter Parker's place, where Peter examines Logan's blood for Banshee. While Peter studies it, he wants to know why Logan did not go with this to Reed Richards or Bruce Banner. Logan knows that they would turn him over to S.H.I.E.L.D. and besides Logan is convinced that Peter is a genius as well.
While Peter does his research, Kitty talks to Logan about the letter he wrote to her, in which he told her how much he cared for her. Logan is taken by surprise when Kitty suddenly hugs him.
Meanwhile Peter has figured out why Logan's test on Banshee came out positive. According to Peter the root drug of Banshee is made out of Logan's D.N.A.. At that point Jean and the other X-Men are there to pick him. When Kitty asks Logan to let her come along, he refuses because he does not want her to see what he will do, when he finds the person responsible.
Meanwhile in Siberia, Scott tells Peter that he is pushing the rest of their team too hard. Peter is convinced that they can handle it. Because Scott knows that the other X-Men are coming, Scott wants to buy some more Banshee from Peter's supplier, because the batch that they took from the Acolytes is not pure. Unfortunately for them, Peter has no more money. When Scott informs Peter that Kurt contacted Jean, Peter is not worried because he is convinced that she and the other X-Men can not handle them. Scott warns Peter that Jean is determined to shut down all Banshee production. Scott confesses that he knows this because he was there to stop him. When Peter grabs Scott by the face, Scott tells him that he is on their side now, after he saw all the good they accomplished. Because Scott does not want another death, he wants them to be at their best. Peter blames himself for Jean-Paul death.
Suddenly Peter falls over. When Iceman shows his head, it becomes clear that he iced up Peter. A moment later the rest of Phoenix' team show up and attack. While Cyclops presses Phoenix' head against the ground, she tells everybody to stop.
A moment later Jean finds herself in an other world. She is surprised when she sees her dead father there. He explains to her that he heard that she had been looking for him in Heaven. Jean tells him that she has the power to bring him back to life. Her father knows however that she does not really want to do that.
He realises that he was not a good father to her, although she did everything she could to please him. Even when he was dying, Jean still hoped that he might change if she did her best. After her father's death, Jean found what she was looking for when Charles took her under his wings.
Even though she states again that she will save her father, he knows that she can not and that it is okay. Before she returns to Earth, her father warns her that the X-Men and Scott are going to suffer if she keeps on trying too hard.
After Phoenix' return, Wolverine attacks Colossus. Wolverine blames him for all the hurt Banshee has caused them. With his adamantium claws, Wolverine starts to cut in Colossus' armor with the intention to kill Colossus. After a few moments Wolverine has cut out Colossus' heart.

Fifteen years ago, Erik Lensherr thought that Charles Xavier was insane because Charles had decided to take on a velociraptor, one of the deadliest creatures in the Savage Land. After Charles drew his claws, he attacked the dinosaur. The velociraptor injured Charles, but Charles killed the beast with a single stab of his claws. Before the battle was over, Charles' healing factor had already dealt with Charles' wound.
Erik was astonished by the result of the drug Charles had used. Because of the secondary mutations that the drug caused, mutants could be almost invinsible. Charles agreed that the drug had amplified Charles' powers and created totally new mutations, but Charles also knew how addictive it was. Because of Charles' own powers, he could withstand the addictive nature of the drug, but others would not be able to resist it. Erik and Charles decided to destroy the drug. Because they made it out of James Howlett's D.N.A., Charles had to erase James' mind.
In Siberia Wolverine has just cut out Colossus' heart. Still Colossus is alive, although he does not know or care how. Enraged by Wolverine's act, Colossus is determined to kill Wolverine. At the same time, the two teams of X-Men start to fight each other again. Because Storm and Beast are holding back, Dazzler and Cyclops deal out the first successful blows. Cyclops understands that they are sentimental and weak. Rogue is attacked by Iceman. Thanks to Banshee, Rogue has to be only near him to take over his powers. Without knowing why Rogue kisses Iceman, Firestar separates them by placing a tunnel of fire between the two. Meanwhile Nightcrawler begs Phoenix to regain consciousness. He is scared that they are all going to kill each other. Elsewhere on the battle field, the fight between Colossus and Wolverine comes to a climax when Colossus rips out one of Wolverine's legs.
Suddenly a paralyzed Northstar tells Colossus to stop. While Northstar and Phoenix come closer, Northstar explains that he is paralyzed because of Banshee. Northstar hopes that Colossus will not let the drug ruin his life as well. When Northstar tells Colossus that Colossus saved his life and is therefore a hero, Colossus falls on his knees and tells them that he is sorry. With Colossus' heart in her hand, Phoenix promises that everything is going to be fine. When everybody heads home, Cyclops is the only one who is not ready to go.
Back at the school both Logan and Peter are brought to the infirmary. Although Jean can successfully put Peter's heart back into place, she does not know if he will ever be able to revert back to his human form. Peter would consider it a fitting punishment for what he did.
After Jean leaves the men so that they can rest, Logan tells Peter that he had him just where he wanted him during the fight. Peter does not understand how Logan could have done much with only one leg, but Logan informs him that he still hurt the Hulk, even after the Hulk torn him in two. The two men more or less apologize for the things that they had done. Because Banshee was made out of his D.N.A., Logan feels used. He wants to shut down the whole Banshee operation and asks Peter for help. Unfortunately Peter has never seen his supplier.
Some time later Jean finds Scott on the moon. She knows how powerful Scott must feel when he can behold the stars and Earth from up there, but she informs him that he is not so powerful. She tells him that it is time for him to come home. Scott still refuses to go with her so Jean uses her Phoenix-powers on him. Although Jean has a firm grip and keeps it, Scott still fights her. Scott is convinced that Jean is jealous of him because he might be even more powerful than she is. Bit by bit Scott feels how he is losing control over his powers again. In the end he begs her to let him go. Jean knows that Scott is not himself. While she puts his quartz glasses back on, she tells him that he is not only the leader of the X-Men but also their spirit. Because of his actions, he has earned his teammates' respect, which is something that he will never get from a drug. While Scott tells her that he can not stop because of the power that he feels within, Jean holds him in her arms and comforts him.
Meanwhile Logan arrives at the Moira MacTaggert's Research Center and Hospital, where she takes care of sick mutant children. The moment that Logan sees Charles, he jumps at him with his claws drawn. Somehow Logan has discovered that Charles made the drug out of his D.N.A. and now Logan is going to kill him for it. Charles admits that he created Banshee, but also reassures Logan that he shut down the program fifteen years ago. Surprised by Charles' explanation, Logan wonders who is the Banshee supplier because Peter told him that he got his supply from Muir Island.
After Moira informs them that she is the supplier, she explains that she did it to fund her facility. Because she cares so much for the ill children, she is determined to stop Logan from shutting down her life's work. After Moira hits the two men full-on with a sonic scream, Logan asks Charles to get everybody out of there. Charles tells a young mutant girl to teleport them all out of there.
Meanwhile Logan has found the place where Moira keeps the Banshee. When Logan sees the amount of Banshee, he realises that it is enough to make an army. Moira explains that she wants to make the world safer for mutants. Because Logan knows that the Bashee contains two highly explosive gasses, namely butane and ethylene, hedoes not understand how she is going to make the world a safer place. After he breaks one of the Banshee containers, he ignites the stuff by creating a spark with his claws. The explosion that follows, destroys a big part of Moira's facility.
Moira somehow survives the explosion and receives a visit from Quicksilver. Although he is disappointed, he does not blame her. He informs her that his father has already come up with a new plan to deal with the humans.
