First Appearance: Rl'nnd
Death: Rm'twr
Years ago, when Carol Danvers was head of security for NASA, she and her crew found a strange object near the launch pad. Carol asked Doctor Lawson if he had seen something like that. Although he told her no, he had seen them on several occasions when he was Captain Marvel. He recognized the device as a Skrull interplanetary probe.
Later on Carol took a closer look at the device and even touched it. Unknown to her, the machine scanned her biological makeup and sent its findings to the Skrull empire. Although the Skrulls were convinced that Carol's DNA was worthless, Rm'twr catalogued it anyway.
Back to the present at Stark Tower, Iron Man informs agent Sum that Ms. Marvel is a Skrull. They figured it out when security cameras filmed Carol Danvers in the building when she was in actually on Monster Island. Before Iron Man got the chance to warn Ms. Marvel, she slipped off her minicarrier. Iron Man does not know if the real Carol is still alive or not.
After a good night's sleep, Carol has realised that she has spent too much time chasing villains. So now Carol decides that this day is going to be a day about her. She plans on clearing things up with William, Simon and her publicist Sarah Day. Before she does any of that, Ms. Marvel decides to check up on the laundry place where she recently closed down one of A.I.M.'s labs. The moment that Ms. Marvel enters the newly opened place, she is greeted by a dozen of A.I.M.-agents. While they try to keep her occupied, one of them contacts his collegues below and tells them that the package needs to go. During the fight Ms. Marvel realises that going in through the front door was not the smartest thing to do. Although she punches her way through walls, while dealing with the A.I.M.-agents, one of the A.I.M.-trucks leaves the place with the package inside. Because all the trucks at the dock look the same, Ms. Marvel at least knows what she is looking for.
Several years back when the space shuttle Invinsible was ready to be launched, it got a final inspection by Doctor. Lawson, who was accompanied by Carol Danvers. Captain Marvel was not so thrilled with Carol's company because it made his task of finding out if there was a Skrull-bomb on board a lot more difficult. The moment that they entered the shuttle, the Skrull revealed its true identity and shot Captain Marvel.
Meanwhile outside, Carol Danvers and her team were doing the last inspections. Suddenly the shuttle's engines ignited. Although Carol ordered her men to get to safety, she took the elevator to get to the shuttle's door. With one gigantic leap, Carol managed to get aboard. Carol tried to reach the cockpit but gravity made it almost impossible. Once that the shuttle entered outer space, the oxygen inside started to fade rapidly, because the door was still open . After she closed it, Carol headed for the cockpit, where she found the Skrull Rm'twr stearing the shuttle. After Carol grabbed the Skrull's weapon, she killed him with it. By this time Captain Marvel regained consciousness but Carol did not need him as she was already piloting the space shuttle back to Earth.
Back to the here and now, Carol has arrived at William's restaurant. Although the waitress tells her that William is not there, he suddenly appears much to waitress' disappointment. William and Carol go outside to talk about things. Before Carol can make the smallest attempt to explain why she did not call him back, William breaks up with her.
Some time later William calls Sarah Day to inform her of the break-up. Sarah confirms that William's secret is safe.
Later Sarah Day receives a visit from her client Carol Danvers. Sarah immediately wants to know why she had to hear from Tony Stark that Ms. Marvel stopped the Puppet Master single handedly. Because Carol knows that she practically killed the Puppet Master, she does not want to talk about it with Sarah, which the latter accepts. Carol then changes the subject and asks Sarah why she was so mad on the phone and what the Daily Bugle had to do with it. Sarah informs her that it is no longer a big deal and she casually mentions that Jonah J. Jameson had a heart attack. When Sarah tells Carol that Jonah is in no position anymore to harass Carol, Carol insists that Sarah tells her what is going on. Sarah shows Carol the front page of the Daily Bugle which features a photo of Ms. Marvel and Wonder Man kissing, Finally Carol thinks that she knows why William broke up with her.
Once outside, Carol calls William and leaves a message on his answering machine. Suddenly the missing A.I.M.-truck passes her. Instead of ripping it apart like she would normally do, she tries a different approach and tags along for the ride to find out where the A.I.M.-agents are bringing the package to. It leads Ms. Marvel to Corona Park. Once the truck reaches the Unisphere, a secret entrance opens. The moment the A.I.M.-agents open the door of the truck, an unhappy Super-Skrull steps out of it, stating that he needs to find the Kree-man. A moment later the Super-Skrull smells an intruder and locates Ms. Marvel. Rl'nnd is able to surprise her when he uses an optic blast to hit her. After the Skrull reveals to be the son of the Skrull that Carol killed many years ago, he fires another optic blast. This time Ms. Marvel evades it and attacks him but Rl'nnd teleports away before she can hit him. During the fight Rl'nnd rips off a piece of Ms. Marvel's clothes. When he smells a Kree, he leaves the fight for what it is and continues his original mission.
Later that night Carol is still trying to figure out what the Super-Skrull was talking about. Carol knows that the only people that she saw that day long enough to have their scent on her were Sarah and William. Although she can not believe that William could be a Kree, she decides to ask him anyway by phone. Again Carol has barely started to talk or William interrupts her. While Carol continues to talk through the phone, William turns around and looks at Carol Danvers in front of him. William immediately realises that he is in danger and tells Carol to come straight away. Meanwhile the other Carol wants to know who he is talking to. When Carol does not get an answer, she becomes angry after which her eyes change. The last thing that the real Carol hears over the phone, before the connection goes dead, is William screaming.
As fast as she can, Carol flies to William's place. After she crashes in through the window, she checks every room. She finally finds William laying dead on his bed. A moment later agent Sum arrives and urges Ms. Marvel to raise her hands. He informs her that his ammunition will kill her, Skrull or no Skrull.

Origin: David Sum
Death: Rl'nnd
When agent Sum aims his gun straight at Ms. Marvel, she knows how dangerous agent Sum really is. Besides herself, there are only two other people who know Sum's past. Sum's history dates back to the 14th century.
Back in 1368 China was ruled by the Monguls but people were already revolting against the Mongols' leader Kublai Khan. One of those people was Sum. Sum dared to attack two Mongolian war lords. While he killed one, he let the other one live so that he could deliver a message to Kublai Khan. In name of Zhu Yuanzang, Sum told the war lord that Khan's time in China was over. For a moment, the war lord thought that Sum was Zhu Yuanzang himself, but Sum informed him that he was only Zhu's sword.
Back to the present day, Ms. Marvel and agent Sum attack each other at the same time but it is agent Sum, who gets hit. Although Ms. Marvel wants to mourn William Wagner's death, she knows that she has to get out of there. Ms. Marvel tries to get away by flying through a wall but at the other side Machine Man is already waiting for her. When Ms. Marvel faces Sleepwalker as well, she realises that she has the entire Lightning Storm team against her. Because this mission of her team took place without her knowledge, it can only mean that Tony Stark authorized the attack and that he believes that she is a Skrull.
Ms. Marvel decides to leave the scene to give herself a moment to think. Agent Sum sends Machine Man after her. In that brief moment that she has before Machine Man arrives, she thinks of William.
Before she can call Tony Stark, Machine Man has already caught up with her. Before he pops out his chainsaw blades, he feels the need to tell her why he joined 'Operation: Lightning Storm'. In exchange for his duties, Machine Man wanted a life model decoy of Monica Rambeau. He asked for it to be programmed so that it would cry all the time, because he found it funny.
At the beginning of the fight, Machine Man seems very eager to kill the 'Skrull'. With a single hit Ms. Marvel knocks his head off. After he hits her back, he puts his head back on. While a very angry Ms. Marvel rips out every limp of Machine Man's body, she tells him to give Tony a message. She wants Tony to find out who killed William, whom she believes to be a Kree.
Suddenly Ms. Marvel is attacked by another Ms. Marvel. Just as the Minicarrier arrives, the real Ms. Marvel decides not to battle the imposter. The two Ms. Marvels surrender peacefully. Before the two women are brought on board, agent Sum takes the scarf of the Ms. Marvel, who was fighting Machine Man. Sum orders his men to keep an eye on both Ms. Marvels at all times. Ms. Marvel fully realises that it will be difficult to expose the real Skrull, but she is convinced that she will find a way to do it. While everyone gets on board, nobody notices how another disguised Skrull gets on the Minicarrier as well.
An hour later all the results of the medical tests have come in. Agent Sum chooses Ms. Marvel's destroyed bedroom to talk to her. After he informs Ms. Marvel of the results, he wants to talk to her to figure out if she is really a Skrull or not. During the interrogation Ms. Marvel brings up agent Sum's real name Hui Lin. When she tells him that he was really born in 1320, agent Sum is not impressed as the Skrull could have hacked the S.H.I.E.L.D.-database. After Ms. Marvel tells him that Sum's information only exists on paper, Sum asks her command code for the Minicarrier computers. Ms. Marvel starts to get suspicious that a Skrull would know of Sum's past but not her access code. When she asks him how he got the scar on his face, agent Sum tries to regain control over the interrogation and asks her access code again. Instead of answering his question, Ms. wants to know how many Skrulls there are on the Minicarrier besides her double and him. Ms. Marvel quickly hits agent Sum in the face and orders the agents to take off the power drainer cuffs. To her surprise agent Sum does not change appearance and Ms. Marvel wonders if she was wrong about agent Sum being a Skrull.
Just at that poinnt the real agent Sum shows up and asks why Ms. Marvel is out of her cell. A moment later the Super-Skrull changes back to his true form and is ready to use all of his X-men powers. Because she has retained herself to come into action before, Ms. Marvel has had enough of those tactics and is now ready to go all the way.
Elsewhere Machine Man is enjoying his Monica Rambeau-robot. Suddenly Ms. Marvel and the Skrull put a hole in his room. As the battle continues they also knock down Rick Sheridan's bedroom wall until they arrive in the room where the Ms. Marvel-Skrull is locked up. When Ms. Marvel kicks the crap out of the Skrull, Rl'nnd needs a moment but the Operation: Lightning Storm-team uses the opportunity to attack him at full force. When Ms. Marvel directs her photon powers through his ears, she kills him.
Inside her prison the other Skrull witnesses the death of Rl'nnd. Ms. Marvel shows no remorse because they killed her boyfriend. Surprised to hear that William Wagner was her boyfriend, the Skrull transforms herself into William to make sure that they are talking about the same man. The Skrull confesses that William is not dead and that they hold him prisoner. The Skrull pretended to be him when Ms. Marvel found his dead body. The Skrull is ready to tell Ms. Marvel more about William's whereabouts if she spares the Skull's life.

Death: Doc Farrell
On Minicarrier 13 the Skrull-prisoner just revealed that William Wagner is still alive. The female Skrull explains that William was a Kree spy, who was sent to Earth to unravel the Skrulls' plans. Just like Captain Marvel did many years ago, William took on the identity of a dead human. The female Skrull informs Ms. Marvel that they gave William to A.I.M., who decided to bring William to their base in Orlando by truck.
Once outside the holding cell, Ms. Marvel confesses to agent Sum that she really wants to kill the Skrull. She also utters her frustration that there are still so many things that they do not know about the Skrulls' plans. Agent Sum has also something that he wants to have off his chest. He is sorry about how he handled the situation earlier that evening regarding Ms. Marvel and her imposter. Ms. Marvel reassures him that she would not have him on her team, if he would have handled it any other way.
A little later in the communication room, Ms. Marvel wants to know if Machine Man has found the A.I.M.-truck. When Machine Man uses his arrogant tone once more, Ms. Marvel shuts him up by reminding him what she did to him earlier that evening. Ms. Marvel orders him to give the coordinates of the truck, in which William is transported, to the Minicarrier's bridge.
An hour later over Insterstate 95 the entire team, except for Wonder Man, are closing in on the truck. After Sleepwalker uses his warp gaze to disrupt the road, the entire team surrounds the truck. Ms. Marvel flies in front of it and is ready to stop it with brute force. Instead of stopping the truck, the truck drives right through her. At first Machine Man is very impressed and is stumped because he can not find a reason why the truck was able to go through his team leader. A moment later Machine Man figures it out when he finds a very advanced mobile hologram projector. Ms. Marvel feels defeated when she realises that A.I.M. has William and that she has no idea where to look.
Once back on the Minicarrier, Ms. Marvel's feeling of failure has turned in rage. When she confronts the female Skrull, the latter starts to laugh, which angers Ms. Marvel even more. Showing no mercy, Ms. Marvel hits and throws the Skrull across the room, while she interrogates the alien about the Skrull-invasion. The Skrull does not answer any of her questions. At a certain point the Skrull starts to grin and her eyes start to glow. A moment later an enormous explosion occurs. Before anyone can do anything, the Minicarrier 13 crashes to the ground.
All the members of 'Operation: Lightning Storm' were thrown out of the Minicarrier and fell hard on the Interstate. Although Ms. Marvel knows that the core team would be okay, she feels responsible for the other people on the ship. Ms. Marvel realises that many people of her crew have died because she angered the Skrull. Moments later Machine Man and agent Sum are already helping people out of their cars and requesting for back-up. Sleepwalker on the other hand is very afraid for his own life because the heart of Rick Sheridan, who got badly injured, is slowing down. Ms. Marvel starts to look for Doc Farrell and quickly finds him. Unfortunately Doc Farrell did not survive the crash.
The next night Carol brings Simon up-to-date on what happened the night before. After she dealt with the consequences of the crash, Carol got the feeling that she was losing control over everything. Carol does not understand why people are convinced that she can handle all the responsibilities that she has taken upon herself. When Simon tries to make her realise what she has accomplished lately, Carol sees only the negative aspects of her actions. Finally she also tells Simon that she killed the Puppet Master. Although the Puppet Master blew himself up, she makes it perfectly clear to Simon that she consciously made the decision not to stop the Puppet Master. When Simon tries to calm her down, she does not want to hear it. Although Carol is convinced that she is an awful human being, Simon does not see it.
After their talk, Simon wants to know why Carol came to him. Before he knows it, Carol kisses him. Carol immediately knows that it is wrong but still she continues to kiss him. Simon pushes her away because he wants to know what she is doing. Carol explains that she does not want to think about her responsibilities for a couple of hours. Not sure what to do about the situation, Simon no longer puts up a defence and lets Carol kiss him again.
A few hours later Simon is awoken by an Avengers' priorty distress call, which informs him that a Skrull ship has entered the Earth's atmosphere. A moment later, Carol appears already fully dressed.
