Story Title: Half a Green Lantern is Better than None!
Creative Team: not credited
First Appearance: Black Hand
Green Lantern apprehends a group of thieves steeling fur coats but once he has left, a man in a trench coat sweeps the area with an unknown device. Later, Green Lantern stops some crooks at the train yard and once he has left, the man in the trench coat appears again using his device on the area.
The man is William Hand and he has determined that when Green Lantern uses his power the radiation from his ring is absorbed by the immediate area. Hand has invented a device that is capable of collection the radiation. William Hand has been a criminal for years and has kept a detailed account of all he has learned, a valuable tool he refers to often to avoid being arrested. No longer satisfied with being a common criminal he has adopted the identity of Black Hand. He will use his new device and the radiation is has collected to send Green Lantern to another dimension and will then be able to tap power directly from his ring.
Back at Ferris Aircraft, Green Lantern discusses his latest exploits with his friend Pieface and admits that although he has been successfully stopping crime he has actually been attempting to catch a new criminal named Black Hand. After charging his ring, a mist is expelled from it forming the figure of Black Mask who challenges Green Lantern to meet him downtown.
Upon arrival, the left half of Green Lantern's body disappears. Still in possession of his power ring, Green Lantern attacks, but cannot Black Hand deflects his green energy with green energy of his own stolen from the missing half of Green Lantern.
Confident that Green Lantern cannot stop him, Black Hand returns to crime and Green Lantern can do nothing to stop him.
In Coastville, the Hand brothers are being honoured for their contributions to society unlike their criminal brother. Black Hand crashes the reception and demands that he be honoured in their place.
Incredibly, a whole Green Lantern returns to attack but somehow Black Hand is still in control of half of his power. Unnerved, Black Hand is defeated by Green Lantern.
Green Lantern reveals his trick. Standing in front of a mirror he copied his reflection to create his other half. Recovering Black hands device Green Lantern restores his other half and takes Black Hand to the police department.

Story Title This World is Mine
Creative Team: not credited
Carol Ferris waits for Green Lantern to join her at the opening of the Coast City Fair and is surprised as a giant papier-mâché figure of the hero comes to life and begins to destroy the fair grounds. The police respond but are no match for the giant threat.
At a Justice League meeting, Green Lantern learns of the threat and asks that the league leave the threat to him to deal with. The giant wields a power ring as well, but it is yellow. Green Lantern eventually defeats the giant figure and detects within it a protonic force he had previously dealt with; a force from a world which had referred to itself Green Lantern. Unknown to Green Lantern, the force has transferred itself to a clam at the bottom of the sea.
Back at the fair, Green Lantern cut the ribbon officially opening the park, when the yellow ribbon reforms as a giant yellow ring and challenges Green Lantern. The protonic force enclosed Green Lantern in a yellow shield and begins to crush him with yellow tentacles.
Inexplicably the heat inside the shield begins to climb and causing the topaz of the yellow ring to turn pink. With its color changed, Green Lantern surrounds the ring in a bubble, flash freezing it to absolute zero. Green Lantern had used his ring on the one thing he could. He had cut a deep hole into the ground allowing the heat from the earth's core to quickly raise the temperature inside the shield.
