At the age of thirteen Arcade created a first-person shooter game called Murderworld, which made him an instant millionaire. Arcade built an entire video-game empire and kept searching for the ultimate gaming experiences throughout the globe.

But then catastrophy hit when the Brotherhood of Mutants destroyed the Brooklyn Bridge and killed Arcade's sister. Because Magneto was sent to prison, Arcade could not have his revenge. Therefor Arcade searched his justice elsewhere and ended up on Krakoa as one of the hunters in a game called 'Hunt for Justice'. 'Hunt for Justice' was a reality show, presented by Mojo Adams, in which Arcade had to kill the convicted mutant Longshot. Heavily equipped with guns and all kinds of gadgets, Arcade went on his hunt but to his surprise he encountered the X-Men. Although Arcade's bullets could not stop Colossus, Arcade was able to defeat him by using a sonic device, which he helt closely to Colossus' ears. Next up was Dazzler, who got charged up by Arcade's own sonic device and who used her powers to throw him against a tree. But Arcade used a webbing, like the one Spider-Man uses, to glue Dazzler's hands to her mounth. Arcade became reckless when he started to brag about his webbing, which gave Nightcrawler the oppurtunity to attack him by surprise. After a second successful hit by Nightcrawler, Arcade figured out where Nightcrawler would show up next. From the moment that Nightcrawler appeared, Arcade put a blade in Nightcrawler's stomach. Just as Arcade was ready to cut Nightcrawler open, Longshot appeared. While Arcade held Nightcrawler hostage, he fired at Longshot but the latter was able to evade every bullet. Even when Longshot was at point blank, Arcade could not kill him as Arcade's gun backfired in his own hands, due to Longshot's lucky powers.
