Issue Summary:
In the “Fabletown” district of New York City, Jack Horner reports the murder of Rose Red to Sheriff Bigby Wolf in the Woodland Luxury Apartment building. There, Beauty and Beast are turned down by deputy mayor Snow White when requesting a magical glamour to cover Beast’s inhuman features. Elsewhere, Prince Charming meets, seduces, and sleeps with Molly the waitress. Snow White and Bigby Wolf meet Jack Horner at Rose Red’s horribly blood-covered apartment when investigating Rose Red’s murder. After observing the evidence, Bigby Wolf arrests Jack Horner.
This first issue introduces a few characters from popular fables living in New York City, some of the places they live and work in, and gets straight into the murder mystery of this first story arc.
