Profile: The Magistrati are agents of the Living Tribunal, the embodiment of justice, and act as his voice on alien worlds and in the Star Chamber, their cosmic courthouse. They make contact only with the most prominent legal people of the alien worlds and offer some a place among them. At least one Rigellian Recorder, Zeta-9, worked for the Magistrati as a court recorder. When assigned to alien worlds, the Magistrati take notice of the specific laws, culture and dress-code.
History: The Magistrati appeared in the Superhuman Law Offices of Goodman, Lieber, Kurtzberg & Holliway and offered the lawyer and heroine She-Hulk a place in their ranks. She accepted and spent three months in space as a Magistrati before being sent back to Earth.
Rigel Type Zeta 9 was controlled by the alien Recluses to watch over She-Hulk and the robot took the guise of Artie Zix on Earth. During this time RT-Z9 still took his own appearance to bring She-Hulk to Titan on Magistrati business. The Recluses were eventually slain by a cosmic menace, who also activated RT-Z9's self-destruct mechanism.
She-Hulk has been retired from her Magistrati post after she spoke on her universe's behalf, when the Living Tribunal was deciding whether to replace the universe with a simpler, ultimate universe.
