Profile: The Skard is a fierce alien race that is ruled by the mightiest combatant. The battles must be held in the ring and no foreign objects are allowed.
History: One of the strongest beings in the universe, the Champion of the Universe, came to planet Skardon and defeated its toughest combatants, becoming the Skard’s king. He then started to make the Skard suffer, using this as a bait for challengers. Adam Warlock and his companions heard about this and gathered challengers, who were all defeated by Champion. Eventually the Magistrati, agents of universal law, appointed one of their own, She-Hulk, to adjudicate on the challengers’ behalf. She-Hulk was first defeated but she filed an appeal and later beat Champion after months of training and demanding the removal of Champion’s Power Gem. According to the Skardian rules, She-Hulk was now their queen but she left the Skard in the guidance of Adam Warlock. It remains to be seen if he managed to help the Skard to rule themselves in a wiser way.
