After the President of the United States of America changed his policies to pro-mutant, some powerful people believed that the president was under Charles Xavier’s control. To prove he wasn’t, Xi’an Coy Mahn, a Black Ops mutant trainee of S.H.I.E.L.D. was brought in to analyze his recent brain activities after which no trace of manipulation was found. But the relationship between the president and Charles Xavier, and his X-Men, remained politically dangerous so the president founded a new team of mutants in which he personally wanted Karma. But on the day the president went public with his team of mutants, they all came under attack. S.H.I.E.L.D. discovered that there was a conspiracy against the president and Karma was able to bring down the two men behind it all, namely the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and the Secretary of Defense.
Karma possesses the ability to take control over a person’s mind and body, during which both her and the possessed person’s eyes turn red. Once possessing a person, she is also able to talk through him. When she lets go of her hold over the person, Karma can make the person lose his consciousness.
Karma can also use her powers to psychically analyze recent activities of a person’s brain, after which the brain is changed, which can be viewed if a scan is taken prior and after Karma’s penetration.
