Glenn Dashett, known as Dashman, was originally a superhero. He had the ability to run at super fast speeds, but unfortunately, not the ability to think so quickly. Though he petitioned to doctors to help speed up his thought processes, it did not come in time, and an accident stopped him using his speed. He ceased to be a superhero and became a Seminary counselor instead.
Some of the students posed a good deal of trouble to him. Destra, in her attempts to cause trouble and be expelled, brought Punchy's comics to Dashett, claiming they were misogynist. Miscommunication ensued, as Destra couldn't follow Dashett's rapid speech pattern. Empty Vee, encouraged by Destra, tried to convince Dashett she had vague psychological issues, despite Dashett's best attempts to console her. He later chaperoned to the school dance, and in the process, lost his ADD medication. This forced his speech pattern into becoming indecipherable to everyone, and Punchy's attempts to prevent a suicide attempt with Dashett's help did not succeed for anything Dashett had done.
Dashett was later bamboozled into letting a marketing researcher use the students as a testing group. He was admonished by the school board, but soon helped them to recruit the Duke as an up and coming hero. He also helped to convince Kefong to return for the next year. Unfortunately for him, he was unable to keep the Duke enlisted.
Along with Miss Klanbaid, Dashett later opposed the staff's plot to control the students through medicated food squares. He was overpowered, however, and his reaction blamed on his nervous condition. The students later escaped, while Dashett stood by.
Dashett has the ability to think, speak and run at heightened speeds. He hasn't used the latter in ten years, as his ability to think at such speeds came after the accident that ruined his superhero career and traumatized him.
