Rose Tattoo is reported in most cultures. She is pure. Ageless. An ideal. A spirit. Unhuman. She has been here forever. She is death.

Rose Tattoo first surfaced during an operation for The High in the late 60's. She had been sent to retrieve important information from a Russian research facility. It was whilst on this mission she stumbled upon a chance encounter with a then young Henry Bendix, a man that would have a very large impact on her future direction. Bendix proclaims that it was at this point he fell in love with Rose Tattoo; he became instantly captivated by her pure twisted evil beauty. Her desire to kill aroused him.

It was some time before Rose Tattoo appeared again, this time at the request of Henry Bendix to be part of his newly revamped Stormwatch programme. Rose was assigned to Stormwatch Red -- this was the programme's deterrent and retaliation squad. She was joined by Stormwatch members, Flint and Fahrenheit. Although an active member within StormWatch, Rose never really gained the trust of her fellow team mates, as she never uttered a word to anyone. And, when not on active duty, Rose was confined to a maximum security cell for the safety of her team mates, something that never felt right with them, and sowed the seeds of doubt and mistrust. They’re initial concerns were again raised when on an away mission. StormWatch Red had been sent to the island of Gamorra after it had been established that the islands Patriarch Kaizen Gamorra was responsible for the bombing of a British Passenger Jet. As an act of retaliation Rose was given one clear objective: to kill exactly two hundred and thirty three people -- no more, no less. A mission Rose accomplished with relative ease and appeared to receive sexual gratification from the act. Both demonstrations were met with complete disgust from her fellow StormWatch: Red team-mates.

It was on a later Mission against her former colleagues, The High. When Rose's true purpose was revealed to the other StormWatch operatives. With this revelation it became clear that the direction of StormWatch since the changes had been made, was for anything other than the best interests of the programmes principles, and that Bendix had in fact been double crossing the programme to achieve his own goals -- with Rose being part of the deceit. Rose was sent into the conflict under the direct instructions to remove the threat of The High and his followers. The fact Rose used to number amongst them meant very little to the Spirit of Murder as she entered the compound and proceeded to slaughter them one by one. Rose, whilst in the thrill of the kill, became distracted. Totally immersed in the perverse pleasure of the kill she failed to Notice Jack Hawksmoor -- another member of StormWatch -- seized the moment and snapped Rose's neck. Rose fell to the ground, and assuming she had died, was left to rot.

Rose was never shown to have received any form of training whist with StormWatch or pre this era. Her abilities seem to be inherent to her being.

Rose's power is simple: Death. She carries this out effectively with the use of fire arms -- many she had made herself to her own specification. She also had the ability to seriously traumatise anyone who heard her voice or had intimate contact with her -- this could lead to a catatonic state, and death.
