Profile: The Warrior Wizards were a group of evil sorcerers. They manipulated the Silver Surfer to attack the Sub-Mariner, who was then almost sacrificed to the Undying Ones by a sorcerer called Necrodamus. The Warrior Wizards were then taken down by the Defenders, who found their base in the valley of the Undying Ones.
History: The Warrior Wizards were an evil sorcerer group lead my a powerful sorcerer called Calizuma. They found the valley of the Undying Ones in Himalayas and altered their appearances to seem as man-apes.
The former herald of Galactus known as the Silver Surfer wanted to do something meaningful and found this small group of supposed nearly-human apes. He seemingly made friends with them and instructed them in the rudiments of civilization, such as fire. In truth the Warrior Wizards used the time to master the natives and the Silver Surfer. They subtly penetrated and controlled the Silver Surfer’s mind so he would unknowingly do their bidding. The Silver Surfer was sent to capture the Sub-Mariner and give him to Necromancer to be sacrificed to the Undying Ones, an other-dimensional demon race. The Silver Surfer returned to the Himalayan valley without remembering the incident and Necromancer’s plans were foiled by the other Defenders, the Hulk and Dr. Strange.
The Defenders found the Silver Surfer in the Himalayan valley and they were confronted by the Warrior Wizards, who revealed their true appearance. After the combined forces of the Defenders and the Silver Surfer took down Calizuma, his pawns were easily defeated. Dr. Strange then placed a spell of atonement upon the wizards, which made them forget their evil past and unwilling to remember it.
The Warrior Wizards were sorcerers. Calizuma was the most powerful of them and the others had similar powers to him. Calizuma could at least project energy blasts, take control of others’ minds, deflect mystic attacks and change his appearance.
