Profile: The Helix are genetically modified humans from the future whose goal was to kill all the mutants. They traveled back in time to the present day and awoke a creature known as the Skornn that feeds upon mutant life-force. Nevertheless, both the Skornn and the Helix were beaten by Cable and other heroes.
History: In the future, the war between humans and mutants has continued and mutants are winning. The Helix, a group of genetically modified humans, rapid anti-mutants, were ordered to go back in time by the Order of the Five Blades to revive a being called the Skornn that feeds mainly upon mutant life-force. The Helix also attempted to obtain the blade called the Five Fingers of Annihilation, a weapon capable of destroying the Skornn, so that mutants wouldn’t be able to use it.
The Helix awakened the Skornn by sacrificing the life force of several of their members. The Skornn was destroyed and the Helix taken down by Cable, a time-traveling mutant from the Helix’s era, X-Force and their allies. Most of the Helix lost their lives during this incident.
The Helix are genetically modified humans and skilled hand-to-hand combatants. Using their resources they are able to teleport and travel in time. The Helix claimed to have been empowered by the will of humanity throughout time and definitely used some kind of transmission surge to fuel themselves.
