I read an issue earlier and just didn't care for it, but it was a down time issue, so I didn't get the true Losers experience. But because of these great reviews, (Like this one.) and positive word of mouth from people who's taste I respect, I figured I should give it another go. So when I was in a shop today that just so happened to have bundles of Vertigo books 3 for 2 bucks I made sure to grab a bundle with a Losers issue. I haven't read it yet, as I just read Deep Sleeper and anything will look like a flaming pile of crap next to that. So I'll report back when I give the series a second chance. If it works out I'll put the trades on my look-out list.

I was to late to get this book fom the start so I have this title on my trade list.

BTW...Great Review! :D

By a bizarre coincidence, I picked up the first trade of this series at the library yesterday (along with both trades of the first season of Sleeper). So far I've read the first three issues, and I'm enjoying it. May well track down the next two trades afterwards...

Yeah, I read Sin City at the British Library (American translation: Library of Congress). Not quite what George III intended it for, I suspect. ;)

Losers is great since it's written as a monthly. Each issue is satisfying on its own and more often than not ends with a cliffhanger. I haven't checked the sales charts, but if it's selling as badly as Ryan implies, I'd encourage everyone to buy it monthly! This is a series which really rewards doing that.

I thought Volume 2 was probably the weakest of the series, though there's one scene that has a whole lot more impact once you've read The Pass.

Don't know what issues you picked up, but #15, the Aisha solo, is a handy self-contained sampler. Otherwise, make sure Jock's name is on the cover; it's not the Losers if it don't got Jock. (the guest artists are quite good, but Jock makes the book)

It's apparently safe until the end Diggle has planned for the series. (don't recall when that is, but it's definitely finite) It's not that it sells particularly awfully; it's just that I can't understand why a book like this can't sell in the top-25. (okay, I understand, I just don't like it)

That's some great reviewing there, Ryan.

This one was a good arc, really shows the how good Losers is.

positive word of mouth from people who's taste I respect
HHHeeellllo? am I one of them? ...oh sorry, you said respect, I thought you said people who doesn't want to shut up about comics they likes and keeps shoving them in people's faces who doesn't read them. BAHAHA!!! Btw, I'm referring to me.

Yes, vol. 2 TP was the weakest, though, anyone who wants to get into Losers should get vol. 1 TP, I mean seriously, it's only $9.95 for the first six issues. Issue 1, shows not one, not two but three heists. Some publishers will probably dragged those heists to 6 part arc, not this one.

It was issue 3. I don't mind jumping in at a midway point. And I dug it, I can see where fans are comming from. I'll see if I can acquire Volume 1. May be a while though... Or a week or so...

Yes. Yes you are. You're pimping skills may actually be worse than mine, but your taste is good.

Whatever gets the bling bling, you know what I'm saying?

Come on, it's not that bad, I just beat people into submission, well beat them with the actual comic till it's all bloody. BAHAHA!!!

Yes, go do that...

And I think that seeing the Losers all operate separately in ##7-8 helps us identify with them. You meet Pooch's family, see Clay make contact with the old general and Aisha protect a friend. And we also get the introduction of Stegler in #9. But yeah, the Montserrat heist is maybe not the best of a very good bunch.

That's good to hear. I was slightly worried that the apparent discoveries were really just stringing us along indefinitely. It's good to know that the plot progress is in fact real.
