Me? I'll check out:
Albion #1 (Moore/Oakley)
Astro City: The Dark Age #1 (Busiek/Anderson)
Battle Pope #1 (Kirkman/Moore) - maybe
DC Special: The Return of Donna Troy #1 (Jimenez/García-López) - maybe, though I don't like characters being brought back from the dead
Dream Police #1 (Straczynski/Deodato)
House of M #1 (Bendis/Coipel) - maybe, though I'm not getting myself too excited
Neil Gaiman's Neverwhere #1 (Carey/Fabry)
Small Gods Special #1 (Rand/Ferreyra)
Title I'm really interested: Neil Gaiman's Neverwhere #1, Dream Police close behind and Small Gods Special, if I can get my mitts on it. :cross:

I'm very much looking forward to Dream Police and House of M. Both are helmed by great writers and artists.

Dream Police and Angel: The Curse for me. The first because the concept is appealing and the second because I'm a sad sack Angel fan who'll buy anything that'll give me my fix of the Broody One. I'll be waiting for House of M to come out in trade, though. Bendis' stories tend to read better in complete arcs.

The Broody One! hah!
For me, I'm getting Angel: The Curse, Return of Donna Troy, Neil Gaiman's Neverwhere, and Hellboy: The Island. I'm on teh fence when it coems to Gravity and Battle Pope. Night get them, depending on what the week they come out inlooks like.

I decided to only vote for the books that I would definitely be picking up, so that left me with Astro City: The Dark Age #1 (I was starting to miss that world), House of M #1 (have to see if it will live up to the hype), Neil Gaiman's Neverwhere #1 (loved the novel), New Warriors #1 (love the team), and Small Gods Special #1 (Small Gods in color... what's not to love?).
I might also try Albion #1 (though, as an American, I am fairly unfamiliar with the characters), Battle Pope #1 (Kirkman occasionally does great work), DC Special: The Return of Donna Troy #1 (as much as I loathe the 'resurrection' concept), and Son of Vulcan #1 (most unexpected return ever).
Let me add that I am more than a little disappointed about the poor showing for Small Gods. Did you hear that it is in color?

IMO, it doesn't matter that it's in colour, it's new Small Gods, that alone makes me wanna dance the happy dance. :carrot: :dj:

I might also try Albion #1 (though, as an American, I am fairly unfamiliar with the characters),

I wouldn't worry about being unfamiliar with the characters - where you familiar with the characters of Astro City before you started buying it? Or those in Neverwhere? Half the fun is meeting the characters for the first time. And as with any films, TV shows, books or comics, you get the double reward that once you do know the characters and have learned more about them, you can go back for re-readings and find new, hidden depths which you didn't catch the first time around.

Loki, the difference is that the casts of Astro City and Neverwhere were entirely new when I first met them. Granted, unfamiliarity would only be a problem if the key to understanding a story is dependent on past knowledge of the characters involved. Hopefully, this will not be the case with Albion (this is Alan Moore we are talking about, after all), but it has been known to happen in comic book past. There is nothing quite like a twist ending that only works for a limited audience. :)

Wow. Nothing interested me at all.
I would have said Neil Gaiman's "Neverwhere" but I read the novel and have seen the BBC TV serial. Both were superb and I honestly can't see a comic book even comparing to them.

House of M dominated the poll, it should have been expected, it was kind of unfair to the other books in the poll.

and being a hippy liberal is any better? :P Me? I'm an independent. Okay, that was lame. Still, it's predictable that a majority of people here will buy House of M, big whoop, that's what popular, not a big deal, nothing wrong with that, whoopey doo, gabba. gabba, hey. I liked to buy acclaimed titles cause for me, I believe you get more for your money, that's was I think but doesn't mean I'm right. So what I'm wrong most of time, big whoopey doo da, gabba di goo.

I think this poll should have had two lines to click on, one for those you DO intend to check out and one for those you'd check out if you could spare the cash. If I'd had that option, I'd have clicked on more titles than "House of M" #1.
