How did you come by this little site? Friends? Links threw other websites? Some other third thing?
I found this site threw the old Wizard World boards, from what I remember someone posted a like to a picture from the X-Fan website and someone, who I assume was Eric (the person went by "X-Fan"), asked them not to do such or something like that, it was a long time ago. I then followed a link to the old X-fan website (it was at cinescape I believe) and more or less joined right away (different name), of course this was a month before the site moved, it then moved to newsrama or something like that for a month and again I also joined (again a different name) and lastly it found its home here and so did I. It was funny though, when I first tried to sign up at its current location it wouldn't let me, something wrong with the sign in process or something like that.

I want to say I found it back when the first X-Men movie was going into production, but I don't know how accurate that is--as in, if the site was open at that time. The whole period of my life kinda blurs together with the following few years. Anyway, I know that I browsed the site for well over a year before I became a member.
I finally became a member when someone said something so asinine and contrary to what I thought, I signed up and immediately made a pretty scathing rebuttal. The power of the message boards corrupted me immediately. After a posting binge lasting about a month or so, I got it out of my system, and the rate of my posting decreased dramatically.
:abyss:
EDIT: Oh, and then there was X-Assault.

I've got no idea how I found this place. I've been reading it for years. I mostly used it for information but registered for the forums beause of X-Assault.

Why, yes, it was. We're 9 years old this year.
Me, I just stumbled into it in a late night drunken stooper. In the morning, I asked mum if we could please, please keep it. Then love blossomed.

Well, no matter what you search for on the internet(comic related) this site pops up. So I said why don't I just sign up and skip the whole Google process(no offense to Google.) It turns out this site is really fun.

I've been coming here so long that I can't even remember how I stumbled across it. I was an obsessive regular of the AOL Marvel boards (White1348 in the house, yo!) back in 1999, so I'm sure I was linked here in some form or fashion. I ditched AOL a long while back and I stopped visiting comic boards. I joined to argue with Frank Tieri about killing characters since he had just offed some MLFers and Maggott, who were/are all near and dear to my nerdy little heart a couple years ago. I just started regularly posting a couple months ago.

I'd heard about the site in passing from Bamfette when I was a member of Nightscrawlers. Eventually, after hearing about it again from my internet friend Ludi, I actually looked into it and thought this place was fun and friendly. :)
And as you can see, I've become addicted. ;)

Yeah, I just remembered the article I found that drew me to this site. It was concerning the guy who was going to supposedly play Wolverine prior to Hugh Jackman (some dude from Ever After, or something) and how he got bounced out of the process. It was promptly followed by rumblings about a "Hugh Jackman" who was some theater actor.
The of course came an onslaught of posts about how Hugh Jackman isn't 5' 3", the movie is going to be a sham, John Favreau as Beast, etc. Minimal optimism.
Ahhhh, good times. Great memories.
