Notes:
Year One is not a traditional crossover, in that the majority of the stories included were self-contained. However, there are some crossovers within this crossover, such as Superman: The Man of Steel Annual #4 and Aquaman Annual #1, which both recount the same event, only from different perspectives.
The title, Year One, was first used by the Batman: Year One storyline, chronicled in Batman #404-407. The name has since become synonymous with origin stories set within the DC Universe.
A few of the annuals, including The Ray Annual #1, The New Titans Annual #11, and Legionnaires Annual #2, actually take place at the tail end of the first year of the career of that particular hero/team, just as those events were being chronicled in their regular series. The Ray Annual #1 takes place between The Ray (2nd series) #12 and #13. Legionnaires Annual #2 leads into Legion of Super-Heroes (4th series) #72.
In New Titans Annual #11, The Time Trapper reveals the true origin of the Team Titans. This tale presents the first evidence that Terra II is actually the original Terra (Tara Markov) raised from the dead.
Justice League America Annual #9 takes place during Justice League International #12, though the events are almost entirely erased from the memories of the participants.
Deathstroke Annual #4 directly follows his war with the Crimelord, which was resolved in Deathstroke #50.
Shadowdragon and Doomsday were both given annuals, even though, at the time, neither had their own series.
