And an interesting tidbit, when Y Vol. 4 was first announced, it had the title, S&M guess they decided to play it safe...

Hi, my name is tormented_spawn, you can call me t-spawn. Thanks for this Crystal Ball thread/column, comix-fan, finally a reliable source.
Anyway my point, not that there's anything wrong with it. But what's the deal with people write down their list & not discussing/asking about anything else? I mean are we suppose to go, ohhh, nice list, right on! I just like to say that. I'll go now...

Making any discussion is okay. Better than copying three-thirds of the list then paste it on the post, what's that about it. Are people suppose to be intrigue at what I'm getting? Is this a contest of who's getting the most comics? Are we suppose to getting any criticism on our list?

Come on people, The Question is unbelievably cool, ya gotta give him a chance.Oh, I know that The Question is unbelievably cool, but Veitch got me to ignore this book before it even came out. In his first interview about it, he trashed Denny O'Neil's run, which to me is the definitive take on the character (and also one of favorite comic book runs of all time). He's also ignoring all of the stuff that Rucka and the Bat-Folks have done with him these past few years. And finally, he essentially said that the only way to make The Question interesting is to turn him into a clone of Rorschach (ironic, I know), so Vic's going to be quite deranged in this mini-series. So, I shall pass.

Is this a contest of who's getting the most comics? Are we suppose to getting any criticism on our list? Preach it, brother. I've been trying to stir up discussion in these threads for months. I post my list, then I type and type and type about why I'm buying what I'm buying, and try to stir up some type of discussion. Otherwise, what's the point?

I'll be posting my list w/commentary later tonight (when I get the time).

The Intimates looks pretty cool. I'm a Casey fan, so I'll give it a try.

By the way. Why does everybody post the list of comics they are going to buy? Do you really think anybody is interested in what you are going to buy next month? Do you really think anybody is going to read all those lists?
Well, maybe santa will. But I don't think he ever visits this website.
Just post when you've got something to say. Don't clutter the forum with things nobody wants to read.

Really? Dude, that is a major bummer. Denny O'Neil's run is one of my favourite back issues to collect. I'm waiting for my store's labour day sale so I can get 20 Question issues. Will be much fun. While I'll still probably get it, it's a major bummer. My personal belief is that the better direction to take on the character is to focus more on Vic Sage than the Question and create a Spider Jerusalem for the DCU. Vic/Question would be different, but both are reporters driven above and beyond the call of duty to uncover the truth, Vic just takes on a vigilante identity to break the unbreakable stories.

Holy Crap!! Any month where you have Joe Casey Wildstorm goodness (THE INTIMATES: Check the preview HERE (http://www.dccomics.com/pdfs/wildstorm/intimates01.pdf) ), Morrison back on JLA(JLA: CLASSIFIED to be exact), and SPACE GHOST, has to be an arse-kicking month. And now, because you all demanded it ;), my shopping list highlights for November:

GOTHAM CENTRAL #25 - This is the best detective comic I've read, and one of the only 'tec comics where the endings are always satisfying.
JLA: CLASSIFIED #1 - When you have one of the best writers in comics working with one of the best mainstream artists this is what you get. Orhh yeahhh....
GREEN LANTERN: REBIRTH #2 - I would buy this series if it was written and drawn on toilet paper to see Hal back in action, the fact that it has top talent on it is just a bonus :)
PLASTIC MAN #12 - It burns me up that more people don't read this :flamed: (had to fit that smiley in some where). This is the funniest and one of the most well drawn comics on the shelf. Do yourself a favour and atleast pick up #11 (the start of a new arc).
SPACE GHOST #1 - How can you not love Space Ghost? The original TV series is awesome and one of my favourite cartoons ever (Coast to Coast was... different). This re-imagining sounds great, and its got Kelly writing and painted Olivetti art.
THE INTIMATES #1 - Like I said, more WS Joe Casey goodness. Just check the preview you'll love it (especially if you like NEW X-MEN: ACADEMY X): INTIMATES #1 PREVIEW (http://www.dccomics.com/pdfs/wildstorm/intimates01.pdf)
THE AUTHORITY: REVOLUTION #2 - I loved Ellis' Authority and Millar's 1st arc, and this looks like a return to greatness. Ed Brubaker writes what is the best DCU title each month (Gotham Central) and I trust him to make the Authority awesome again (having Dustin Nguyen penciling doesn't hurt either ;) )
OCEAN #2 - It's Ellis doing a wholy original sci-fi comic, whats not to love??
EX MACHINA #6 - The best comic on the stands and it sell like a lump of doggie doo. Awesome stories with already layered and well developed characters, and crazy realistic art from Tony Harris.

Ah, the dreaded list, how I love thee :yeah:

Max.

You had me at hello. What was that? You didn't say hello, well, I'm going to get Intimates on the day it's out and it's quite a wait. I still have to get my hands on any of his Wildcats trades, but I have a feeling it's going to be a good read, though sadly, it's probably likely going to be another underated Wildstorm comics, like most of them are, if not all...
