As the Sentinels took control of North America, Colossus, his wife Kate Pryde and the other X-Men opposed their rule. In the fights against the Sentinels, some of the X-Men were captured, including Colossus, and put in a concentration camp in New York.
With outside help provided by Wolverine, the X-Men escaped, and Colossus’s wife’s mind was sent back in time to change the future they live in. Colossus and the X-Men broke into the Baxter Building, now the Sentinel’s main headquarters, to shut down the metal giants for good. Instead, the X-Men walked into a trap laid by the Sentinels. After Storm was killed, Colossus went on a rampage and struck at the Sentinels alone. The Sentinels managed to cut both his rage and life short.
