Storm was among the X-Men who were captured by the Sentinels during their rise to power. In this era, she spent most of her time in a concentration camp in New York City. Working with fellow prisoner Magneto, and with outside help from Wolverine, Storm and her fellow X-Men had Kate Pryde’s conscious telepathically sent to her younger self in 1980, where it was hoped that she can alter the events that caused their bleak future to exist.
Following Pryde’s time-travel, Storm and the X-Men escaped from the camp and went on to break into the Baxter Building, which was the Sentinels’ headquarters. The X-Men fell into a trap there, and Storm was impaled by a Sentinel-shot spike.
