Synch was one of the few X-Men who wasn't captured or killed by the Sentinels. He had a romantic relationship with Jubilee, and lived with her and Leech in the ruins of a shopping mall in Los Angeles. They were found by the Sentinels, but soon saved by Magneto.
While Jubilee went with Magneto to find Wolverine, Synch and Leech met up with Charlotte Jones to reorganize a resistance movement. Shortly after meeting with Jones, Synch and Leech were taken prisoner by Baron Zemo and the Thunderbolts. Upon their arrival at the Hellfire Club's base in the Hoover Dam, the two captive mutants were immediately rescued by Wolverine and Midnight. Synch then proceeded to help the others free the Scarlet Witch and capture Psylocke.
