In this world where Sentinels controlled most of it, and the majority of its heroes annihilated, the Scarlet Witch became the captive of Shinobi Shaw and Psylocke, the Black King and Red Queen of the Hellfire Club. They captured her when she was found at the remains of Wundagore Mountaion. The Hellfire Club then had the Scarlet Witch hooked up to a machine called the Cataclysm Engine, which would use her powers to have natural disasters such as thunderstorms and earthquakes occur. Being abused by the Hellfire Club and their machine took a toll on Wanda's body.
While being used to power the Cataclysm Engine, the Scarlet Witch was rescued by the X-Men, with her father Magneto leading the charge. Though she was saved, Wanda was dying from being used by the engine too long. Days later, before she passed away, Wanda asked her father to leave behind his aggressive lifestyle and help the X-Men against the Sentinels.
