Real Name: Walter Langkowksi
Group Affiliation: Alpha Flight
Height: 6'4" (10'0" as Sasquatch)
Weight: 245 lbs. (2000 lbs. as Sasquatch)
Eyes: Blue (Red as Sasquatch)
Hair: Blonde (White as Sasquatch)
Powers: Walter Langkowski can, by an act of will, take on a physical form that is a mystical melding of his own and that of the Great Beast Tanaraq. Besides his superhuman strength, Sasquatch had a large degree of resistance to injury, as well. In human form Langkowski was nearsighted, but his vision was sharpened as Sasquatch so that he did not require aids for seeing in that form.

In our reality, Dr. Walter Langkowski designed and constructed a means to generate gamma radiation bombardments similar to those which had created the Hulk, but under laboratory conditions. He succeeded in transforming himself into a ten-foot-tall, superhumanly powerful creature he called the Sasquatch. However, Langkowski was wrong in believing that he had gained his Sasquatch form due to gamma radiation. His equipment that he used in the experiment in the Arctic laboratory had actually unleashed for a fraction of a second enough physical energy to sunder the mystical barrier separating Earth from the other dimensional Realm of the Great Beasts, enemies of the gods of native Canadian mythology. A mystic link was formed between Langkowski and the Great beast called Tanaraq, enabling Langkowski, without knowing what he was really doing, to take on Tanaraq's form and control it.

Walter Langkowski should not be confused with the Sasquatch that is a member of the Exiles. That Sasquatch is actually Heather McDaniel Hudson and not Walter Langkowski. Walter was one of the members of Alpha Flight who greeted the Exiles when they arrived and was part of Project Goliath, a mission headed by Wolverine for the capture of the Hulk. When Wolverine discovered that everyone on Project Goliath was going to die unless the Exiles intervened, Logan sent Beta through Gamma Flight to Australia to assist the Fantastic Four with the massive relocation of Namor and the Kingdom of Atlantis. The Hulk was eventually beaten by Thunderbird, an alternate version of this reality's Shaman.

Appearances: Exiles #9
Sasquatch was one of many unwilling participants in the Skrull's Games up until their evacuation of Earth because of the arrival of Terrax. While the newly emancipated gladiators were getting their first taste of freedom, they found Terrax terrorizing their people and launched an attack on the Herald of Galactus. Because we do not see Walter after this, it is possible he was slain.
