<B>Powers:</B> Caliban is a mutant who possesses the psionic ability to sense the presence of other mutants within a radius of 25 miles. He also possessed the ability to absorb the psionic energy in the fear radiated by humans and turn it against them, inducing more intense fear. Later bioengineering would enhanced Caliban's strength, speed, stamina, durability, agility, and reflexes to superhuman levels.
In our reality, Caliban was recruited to be a Morlock by Callisto and he was rescued by X-Factor when Mr. Sinister's slaughter the Morlocks. Apocalypse offered to grant Caliban enough superhuman power to wreak vengeance on the Morlock's slayers in exchange for becoming his servant. He used advanced genetic engineering methods to increase Caliban's size and strength, renamed him Hellhound, and he joined Apocalypse's Horsemen with the title of Death.
