<B>Powers:</B> Box is made primarily of steel with vast strength and high resistence to damage. It is mentally controlled from outside by a person wearing a psycho-cybernetic helmet. The helmet transformed psions from the wearer's mind into electrical impulses which it then broadcast to Box. It also allows its wearer to perceive mentally the sensory data registered by Box, seeing and hearing what Box does.
In our reality, Box was invented by Roger Bochs, but was stolen by Jerome Jaxon who then used Box to kill and the Guardian. Box was also destroyed in that battle, but would be rebuilt by Bochs with the aid of Madison Jeffries. The new Box, constructed principally of an unidentified living metal, allowed Bochs to phase into Box's body in order to control it from within. Bochs has indicated that only he can physically enter into and control Box in this way. The new Box has greater strength than the previous one, and has a greater resistance to damage. Powerful jets in the soles of its feet enable the robot to fly. Box also contains many different devices, among which are ones enabling it to tap into computers and receive or jam radio signals. Box contains special tracking equipment, and it can see in all areas of the electromagnetic spectrum. Other devices can also be installed within Box if needed.

Box was part of Project Goliath, a mission headed by Wolverine for the capture of the Hulk. However, when Wolverine discovered that everyone on Project Goliath was going to die unless the Exiles intervened, Logan sent Beta through Gamma Flight to Australia to assist the Fantastic Four with the massive relocation of Namor and the Kingdom of Atlantis. The Hulk was eventually beaten by Thunderbird, an alternate version of this reality's Shaman.
