<B>Powers:</B> Bishop is a mutant who can absorb kinetic energy directed toward him and project it from his hands in concussive blasts. He possesses the normal strength of a man of his age, height and build who engages in intensive regular exercise. Bishpo carries with him a weapon from the future, a gun from the Xavier Security Enforcers that fires both laser beams and plasma charges.
In our reality, Bishop was a mutant from a future where the Sentinels had taken control over North America and killed off Charles Xavier and most of his X-Men. Mutants were killed or were imprisoned within mutant relocation camps. Eventually, human beings and mutants joined forces and overthrew the Sentinels in the Summers Rebellion and co-existed. After the Summers Rebellion, it was unacceptable for humans to hunt down criminal mutants, therefore mutants should police themselves. Thus Xavior's Security Enforcers was born. Bishop was a member of the XSE who traveled back in time while chasing down the renegade mutant Trevor Fitzroy.
