An unknown mutant street kid who took up the name of Beast after the mutant who he once idolized, but now disdains. He joins the new Brotherhood that is led by the former X-Men leader Cyclops Tough, rude, and often sullen, the Beast's only pleasures come from being as difficult as possible and creating dissesions amongst the team. When Cyclops attacks the X-Mansion, the Beast is one of the first to be defeated by the quick reacting X-Men.
