<B>Powers:</B> Avalanche is mutant who is able to generate powerful waves of vibrations from his hands, creating highly destructive effects. The vibrations can cause an inorganic object to shatter or crumble into dust, producing effects similar to those of an earthquake or avalanches within limited areas. For unknown reasons, Dominic's power has little or no effect on organic tissue.
In our reality, Dominic Petros, an immigrant from Greece, became the villain Avalanche's after he was recruited by Mystique for the second Brotherhood of Evil Mutants and aided in the unsuccessful attempt to assassinate Senator Robert Kelly. Avalanche briefly left the Brotherhood to attempt to blackmail the state of California into paying him an enormous sum to prevent him from triggering a major earthquake.
