Profile: When failed super villains get fed up of being beaten they join forces. When their members are either neurotic, child like or just useless they form a truly terrifying team. Major Disaster was through with being beaten by Green Lantern and after a chance meeting with a cell mate named The Mighty Bruce, decided to form his own crime gang that would plague the Justice League International for the rest of their days. In theory...

History:
Major Disaster's team first struck the organised world order following the invasion of Earth by numerous alien races. In the aftermath of the battle, the League stumbled across an abandoned Thangarian Warship. Salvaging what they could from the wreckage, the League planned to use their newfound weaponry against the Justice League, their natural opponents. Unfortunately, before the group could start to equip their new weapons, Guy Gardner intercepted their radio transmission as he was nearby cleaning up a Khund ship that had crashed. Quickly disarming the gang, Gardner used his Green Lantern ring to put the group in custody. [Justice League International (1st series) #22-23]

The League soon escaped custody and decided that their criminal activities would be more profitable in Europe. Relocating the Paris the League were astonished to find themselves enrolled in the same French for beginners class as the newly formed Justice League Europe. Quickly defeated, the League were deported from France and imprisoned again. [Justice League Europe #6]

The League's next act came from Major Disaster and Big Sir acting independently from the others who were still jailed. Travelling to the island of Kooeykooey Kooey where the JLI had recently set up their newest business venture, Club JLI, the pair managed to break the bank in the casino. However, before they were able to spend their winnings the island awoke and moved from its moorings. No one was aware of Kooeykooey Kooey's sentience and so there was massive tectonic chaos until Major Disaster aided Aquaman in anchoring the island to an underground volcano. Disaster then disbanded the League by not fleeing and instead facing up to his previous crimes. [Justice League International (1st series) #34-35]

Bizarrely the League followed Disaster's lead and went to Maxwell Lord, the JLI chief, to ask for a chance. Somehow the team managed to prevent a terrorist attack from occurring and so Max dubbed them the Justice League Antarctica and stationed them at the South Pole along with other nuisances that were hanging around JLI headquarters. [Justice League America Annual #4]

After their membership of the Justice League ended abruptly with their demolition of the Antarctic embassy due to an attack of killer penguins, the team reformed to continue their criminal ways. Choosing to steal from the cult of the Minister of the Sun, the team managed to procure a large amount of the cult's gold resources only to have the F.B.I. bust the cult at the same time and take the majority of the gold away. What little the team were left with was used to pay Cluemaster's outstanding traffic fines. [Justice League Quarterly #4]

Stewing in prison, the team's final action together was when they were recruited by the government to form a new Suicide Squad. All but The Mighty Bruce, joined the latest incarnation of the government sponsored team and all but the immortal Multi Man and Major Disaster died on the group's first mission. However, it was later revealed that the Cluemaster had survived the mission. With Major Disaster joining the Justice League of America, Multi Man yet to resurrect and The Mighty Bruce never having truly evil intentions, the Injustice League was no more. [Suicide Squad (2nd series) #1]

The best team ever wasn't the first to use the Injustice League title?

nope. That honour belonged to the group of villains formed by Agamemno. Group contained Black Manta, Chronos, Catwoman, Dr Light, Felix Faust, Lex Luthor, Mr Element, Penguin and Sinestro.

brief synopsis

The original Injustice League was the brainchild of the interplanetary conqueror, Agamemno. Bored of his dominion, he set out to conquer Earth and their champions, the Justice League. Aided by Kanjar Ro, Agamemno contacts Lex Luthor and they recruited eight other villains to their cause (Silver Age: SFO). Agamemno then engineered a switch wherein the villains' minds switched with those of the JLA. In the true JLA's absence, other Silver Age heroes came to clash with the now seemingly evil heroes. (S.A. #1) Eventually, Green Lantern used the power of the central power battery and the Absorbascon to reverse the mind-swap. (S.A.: Showcase) Having spent time in their enemies' bodies, the villains knew their heroic counterparts inside-out. To regain the edge, the JLA used the power of Robby Reed's alien H-Dial to transform themselves into totally different heroes. Then using his power ring through the Absorbascon, Green Lantern removed all knowledge of the heroes' secret identities from the villains' minds. (S.A.: 80-Page)
