Plot: The treachery of the Jackal and his Spider-clones comes to an end.
Reading Order:
Part 1 - Spider-Man: Maximum Clonage Alpha - Jackal experiments with the Carrion virus. Spider-Man, believing himself to be a clone, joins the Jackal.
Part 2 - Web of Spider-Man #127 - The Punisher attacks Spider-Man, but Jackal takes a bullet for him. Peter is convinced of the Jackal’s loyalty to him.
Part 3 - Amazing Spider-Man (1st Series) #404 - The Jackal spends time with all four Spider-Men (Peter, Ben, Kaine and Spidercide).
Part 4 - Spider-Man (1st Series) #61 - Peter searches for the Gwen Stacy clone at the Jackal’s request.
Part 5 - Spectacular Spider-Man (1st Series) #227 - Ben and Kaine fight the Jackal, and Spidercide kills Kaine. Peter finds the Gwen Stacy clone and brings her back with him.
Part 6 - Spider-Man: Maximum Clonage Omega - Jackal tries to set off a virus bomb at the Daily Bugle, and Spidercide turns on him at the behest of Scrier. Peter and Ben enter the battle, and both Jackal and Spidercide are killed.

Kaine actually survived his clash with Spidercide, and returns in Scarlet Spider Unlimited #1.
Ben Reilly is killed in Peter Parker, Spider-Man (1st Series) #75, and his body disintegrates. This is meant to indicate that Ben was, in fact, the clone, and Peter the original after all.
