I personally enjoyed it, as I'm a long time fan of the FF and enjoy Fred Hembeck. That said, I don't know if you should track down the Director's Cut edition just for that though, as it's only two pages (IIRC) and more of a gag then an actual story.

FF #500, ASM #500, Astonishing X-Men #1, and Avengers #500 have all been through the Director's Cut treatment.
