Previously:

Thorm, a member of the long-lived, near-immortal race known as Eldritch, was the younger brother to Tvarus, heir to the Eldritch throne. The two rode together often on hunts to keep the young human race in check. On one such raid, amidst a harrowing battle between warrior knights and the otherworldly Eldritch, Tvarus conceived a child with a human woman, unbeknownst to Thorm. [Lady Death: A Medieval Tale #1]

Now:

Thorm begrudgingly followed the leadership of Tvarus, who had become Lord of the Eldritch, until he was told of Tvarus' affair with a human woman by Tvarus' own wife, Obsidia. Thorm and Obsidia conspired together and accused Tvarus of treason. The former king was sentenced to the Welf Holes, prisons where time passes fast, slow or sideways. Thorm was made king and immediately set out on a hunting campaign to destroy the town that spawned Tvarus' hybrid daughter. Thorm and his hunting party arrived on Novgorod in the midst of a battle between Lady Death and a cadre of human knights. With the lives of the villagers threatened, Lady Death challenged Lord Thorm to a duel, which she won by scarring Thorm with an iron cross. Reluctantly agreeing to the terms of the duel, Thorm took his hunters and departed. [Lady Death: A Medieval Tale #3-6]
