Obsidia's past is largely unknown, only that she is a member of the long-lived, near-immortal race known as Eldritch. She married Tvarus Gara, who eventually became Lord of the Eldritch, and had a child, Caprice, with him.
Now:
Becoming concerned with her husband Lord Tvarus' sympathies toward the human race, Obsidia used the Divinatory, a mystic glass, to spy on him on one of his mysterious journeys. She watched as Tvarus traveled to Earth and gifted his half-human illegitimate daughter, long thought dead, with a dagger. Becoming aware of Tvarus' deceptions after all these years drove Obsidia to conspire with Tvarus' jealous younger brother, Thorm. Thorm and Obsidia accused Tvarus of treason and had the former king sentenced to the Welf Holes, prisons where time passes fast, slow or sideways. Thorm was made king and immediately set out on a hunting campaign to destroy the town that spawned Tvarus' hybrid daughter. [Lady Death: A Medieval Tale #3-5]
