Jubilee was a member of Gambit's team of X-Ternals, whom Magneto asked to travel to the Shi'ar galaxy to steal a shard of the M'Kraan Crystal.
After an encounter with the Shi'ar Imperial Guard, the X-Ternals were successful in their mission. Returning to Earth, Jubilee discovered Magneto and Rogue's son in the sewers under the mansion, but what she didn't know was that her teammate Strong Guy was actually working for Apocalypse. With no other choice, she was forced to turn the child over to him.
