Gambit was once one of the X-Men, but left the team when Rogue would not return his love, falling for Magneto instead. Forming his own group called the X-Ternals, he still aided the X-Men on occassion.

Magneto asked him to travel to the Shi'ar galaxy to steal a shard of the M'Kraan Crystal, which he and his team did after an encounter with the Shi'ar Imperial Guard. However, Gambit and his fellow X-Ternals were unable to complete their mission, since Guido, one of their own, turned out to be a traitor and brought the M'Kraan shard to Apocalypse.

He slew Colossus during the final battle against Apocalypse after Colossus was insanely trying to stop his sister Illyana Rasputin from entering the crystal, which she had to do to undo the "Age of Apocalypse".

He is talking about X-Chronicles #2.

Remember that in the AoA Logan is not Wolverine but Weapon X. In the issue appeared another character named Wolverine.
