Psycho K was the knife-hurling psychokinetic member of a team of X-Men formed by Master Zhao - the powerful but insane telepath whose X-Men appeared like warped reflections of the original team.
It was discovered that Zhao had accelerated the development of his X-Men's powers to the point where it was killing them, so they were placed into cryogenic stasis by Cerebra of the X-Men 2099.
