First Appearance: Ravage 2099 #12 (as McAdam), Spider-Man 2099 #15 (as Thor 2099)
Group Affiliation: Formerly Aesir 2099
Major Enemies: Formerly Spider-Man 2099, X-Men 2099, Doom 2099

Cecil McAdam was originally a reverend in the Church of Thor in the year 2099. So desperate to be like his god, McAdam was a prime subject for the Alchemax corporation to use in their plan to fool the populace of 2099 that the Aesir of Norse mythology had returned, and so transformed McAdam with nanotechnology into a fake Thor.

The Thor of 2099 was possessed of hyper-accelerated senses and reflexes thanks to Alchemax's neurotechnology. He wielded a technologically-crafted version of the real Thor's hammer, Mjolnir, that was powered by ionic energy.

Thor clashed with Doom and the X-Men of 2099 when they attempted to shut down the floating city of Valhalla. After destroying the equipment that kept the city afloat, the false Thor was caught in an explosion that resulted from the Punisher of 2099 using Thor's ionic-powered hammer to stop Valhalla's fall. Thor was rendered powerless and reverted back to his human form of Reverend Cecil McAdam.

Cecil McAdam appeared earlier than Spider-Man 2099 #15, before he was transformed into Thor. I don't have my 2099 collection available, but I do remember him assisting in Tiana's change into Hela earlier in Ravage.

If you can look that up, I'd appreciate it as I don't have any issues of Ravage 2099 outside of the Fall of the Hammer crossover.

Thanks!

Argh. If I had looked here a week ago I could've told you, but I just left my collection at my parents' house to return to college. I CAN tell you Hela 2099 (Tiana) appeared in Ravage 2099 #1, Cecil appeared in #13 and 14, and Baldur 2099 appeared in various news holos in the different titles two to three months before Fall of the Hammer. I think you'll need someone with ready access to the 2099 titles for this, though....

I'll check with the folks over at the Underground and find out all his appearances.

I really wish the Driver--another member of the Underground--was done his 2099 FAQ. That document is going to be huge when he finally gets his computer opperational again.

Okay, Reverend Cecil McAdam appeared in Ravage 2099 #12 and Punisher 2099 #10, both of which came out the same month. If I recall correctly, Ravage was released earlier. Baldur 2099 first appeared in Punisher 2099 #11.

i remember loving this little crossover, thinking how interestingly possible it was.

I just noticed--McAdam's first appearance was Punisher 2099 #2. He was presiding over the Viking funeral of Jake's family.
