Collectible Miniature Games designers WizKids continue to release sneak previews of their upcoming new Marvel HeroClix CMG expansion, dubbed Xplosion. The new set features characters from Marvel Comics' X-Men universe, including last week's unveiled figure, Psylocke (see 'MARVEL HEROCLIX 'XPLODES' WITH PSYLOCKE' (http://x-mencomics.com/xfan/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=15372)).

This week's preview at the official WizKids Web site (http://www.wizkidsgames.com/heroclix/marvel/sneakpeak.asp?cid=37426) features everyone’s favorite wall-crawler, the amazing Spider-Man! As one of the Unique figures, this new version of Spider-Man is number #93 in the set of 96 and is described as extremely versatile by WizKids:

"Spider-Man swings back into HeroClix with a flexible new set of powers. This version of everybody's favorite web-slinger sports Super Strength and Super Senses as the cornerstones of a combat package that just won't quit. Get him into and out of combat quickly with Leap/Climb, and keep him surrounded with friendly figures that need a serious boost to their defense with his Defend power. At the start of the game, get him to an object so he can crush a foe. Super Strength doesn't last long, but then Incapacitate starts, so he can slow down the bad guys. Near the end of the dial, he gains Outwit and Flurry, so even when he's down, he has a few tricks up his sleeve."

Marvel HeroClix: Xplosion is due for release in March. Pre-order the expansion online now from X-World Comics and help support X-Fan! (http://x-worldcomics.com/yourvirtualstore/shopexd.asp?id=3348)

This figure looks good, but I don't know if I would get it. And I used to get action figures, but I lost interest in them...

This figure sounds good. A much better preview of x-plosion this week. I'm looking forward to this set all the more. He looks and sounds like the best spiderman yet. Maybe a bit fragile though, he's not connected to that base by much.

Thats a very impressive figure. I can't wait until this set comes out, or at least until we get some more previews.

That's my hope, personally. But I haven't given up hope that the AE color visible here is the same as that of Spider-Man from Infinity Challenge. A triple AE loop of Spider-Man, Hobgoblin and Green Goblin would be very nice, IMO.
