The Tag Team are a pair of former pro-wrestling brothers who turned to crime. Attracting the attention of J2, thanks to a tip by his school friend Talia Zamora after they strong-armed local merchants, the Tag Team attacked but soon found themselves outmatched and J2 left them for the authorities wrapped up in their own weights.

if their major enemy was J2, how come their first appearance was not in J2 but in Wild Thing?

Well Mystique first appeared in Ms. Marvel. or Punisher first appeared in Spiderman. And Sabretooth first appeared in Iron Fist, so first appearance isn't the be-all of your main enemy.

If you recall, after J2 was cancelled they ran mini J2 stories in the back of Wildthing. That's probably where this appearance came from.
